MSNBC Live: Silent Dick
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 08:24 AM by Human Torch
I'm kind of disappointed that Dick and Lynne are standing at Ground Zero with their heads respectfully bowed in a moment of silence.

I'd much rather hear him growling and grimacing and pointing his finger repeatedly like he did yesterday, talking about how he would have gone after Saddam all over again, WMDs or not.

I have the feeling this day is going to be filled with Solemn Dick, Solemn Lynne, Solemn Junior, Solemn Pickles...do we know if Neil Bush is scheduled to appear anywhere, or is he back at the hotel room waiting for his free Asian hookers?

U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney is interviewed on 'Meet the Press' during a taping at the NBC studios in Washington September 10, 2006. NO SALES NO ARCHIVE (Alex Wong-Meet the Press/Handout - UNITED STATES/Reuters)

1. Not disappointed.
About time these clowns started acting like statesmen, even if it is just acting. America's image has taken enough of a beating. If these assholes do nothing for the next 3 years they can at least give the illusion that they have some class.
In the final analysis it will be their records that speak for them, not their facial expressions.

2. I agree, but you're only going to see this today...
...when the clock strikes midnight, it's back to the guy in that photo. The GOP has declared the run-up to the November elections to be a time of personal attacks and multi-million dollar smear campaigns. As far as Cheney is concerned, I'm sure it will be more "the danger is we'll get hit again if you elect a Democrat" rhetoric.

3. Neil was in Midland Texas a few weeks ago talking to the school kids
about how wonderful this administration is keeping America safe.
According to the Midland newspaper, a child ask Neil at a Q & A if wanted to be president of the U.S. Neil replied, "google my name and you'll know why I won't ever be president.

4. Hypocrites!
You cannot tell me they give a damn about anybody who lost his/her life at the WTC or in the subsequent wars. The WTC destruction was an opportunity for this president to forward his agenda. I think it's just that simple. If anything, his head is bowed in giving thanks. IMHO
