Poll question: 'Fess up .... who watched it?
I can honestly say I didn't, In fact, I didn't even have the teevee on. I was .... uh .... doing a long overdue reorganization of my underwear drawer. Yeah, that's the ticket. *My underwear drawer*

1. we watched Koppel - The Price of Security on The Discovery Channel
Although a revamp of the underwear drawer would have been a nice alternative.

5. I actually had thought about watching that
Was it any good?

I'm not fond of Koppel ever since he moderated the 04 Dem primary debates. He acted like an asshole then.

14. It was looong and Koppel is getting on, but he did a good job covering
the topics and then went on to moderate a live town hall meeting. bushco speakers were interesting in that they used many of the talking points we've all heard before. Our side was represented by George Soros, Lanny Davis and a few other well-spoken people, including a few relatives of 9/11 victims.

2. We weren't going to watch especially after writing ABC
a couple of nasty e-mails. However, we got to thinking about the people who negatively criticized Farenheit 9/11 and admitted they had never seen it so..........we watched.

4. I don't have television, anyway.
But I wouldn't have watched it, anyway, after I learned that Keitel played a screwed-up John O'Neill, who just happens to be one of my heros. I can't bear to see that man's memory desecrated. He isn't even alive and here to defend himself.

13. OOH !! I forgot design star was on!!
Who won??? I voted for the guy. Watched Kopple on Discovery. Parts were good, and some, not so!! He could have eliminated the "town hall" portion of it, because it became to right wing leaning. It made the show DRAG on too much. It wasn't what I expected, at all!

17. Had to watch the Manning
brothers. Between a good and great game. Oh and would someone tell me why the Dems do not crack back on any repug that says the u s has not been attacked for 5 years after 9 11...I might be wrong on this but after the february 1993 attack was the next terrorists attack on 9 11-2001? What is that 8 years? I know of Oklahoma city, but that was a right wing nut job american that did that....Now if the repugs are going to use the uss cole and the embassies, then hey why could we not say there have been 2,268 attacks that killed Americans...Listen the Dems can take the damn whole congress if they will be a mad pissed off hungry snarling bear, and I do not mean Yogi, I mean a DAMN GRIZZLEY...

18. Just finished watching P-2-911 part I
The editing of this movie was atrocius. They change the
scenes so frequently in the beginning that I was literally
feeling dizzy. The first half tonight rehashes all the
attacks on US assets starting with World Trade Center bombing
in early 1990's. I had hard time staying awake!!

The only real damaging part in this movie to me was the
implication that Madeline Albright tipped off to Pakistan about
the US commando plot to capture Osama Bin Ladin. Pakistan alerted
Osama and he avoided capture.

IMHO this movie is so boring that not many people would have watched
it, much less watched in its entirety, if it was'nt for all the
bruhaha which gave it unnecessary publicity.

complete unadulterated crap. The camerawork in Blair Witch was better, and the action scenes were like the crappy battle reel in Tristram Shandy.

26. I recorded it, watched 20 minutes, and then deleted it.
I had enough "couldn't get clearance from upstairs" crap. I got the picture.

The acting was awful, the camera work a poor Traffic imitation, and the script virtually verbatim wingnut lore and terminology. If I want to hear that crap, I'll watch Faux News.

Three thumbs down.

28. a few minutes during commercials of other shows.
It was complete propaganda. One part I watched took shots at the legal system and Congressional committees getting in the way, two of the right wings favorite whipping posts. I tuned back in later and it was making Guliani look like a great leader who stopped the millennium celebration attacks, even though it was Clinton who did that. I no longer have respect for ABC.

29. I figured without watching... I couldn't be a good critic so I turned
it on and tried to watch. But it was so shitty I couldn't pay attention and it became just background noise...as I read DU.

Those who didn't watch didn't miss a thing. Except you can't criticize the film except through hearsay. As someone else said above...I was annoyed with Rethugs for refusing to see Michael Moore's film so I felt obligated to watch this film. I haven't decided yet whether to watch it tonight. It's educational (to know what the other side is saying) but still a waste of time.

31. sure
I watched it. In fact I really liked the first 1:30... it seemed accurate and well acted. THEN all of a sudden the Karl Rove script started and it got stupid.

I was reading on a blog that in Part 2, BUSH admin get's burnt. Should be fun to watch.

I think people are critical of this movie without reason, though... it REALLY wasn't that bad. Propaganda? Yeah about 5 minutes of it.

33. An hour of it
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 06:32 PM by loyalsister
I accidently taped it. Since it was there, I watched it.
My affiliate handled it in an interesting way. They had a disclaimer crawling across the screen at various times.
When Clinton footage came on, the crawl alerted us that there would be discussion with faculty members from the University of MO about what exactly docudramas are and reasons for concerns over political implications on the 10 pm news. Unfortunately, by the time I watched the tape, the news was over. If I had known that they were going to have that, I would have watched. I'll watch the news broadcast tonight, though.
I know the affiliate is trying to cover their asses. But, I have to admit that I am impressed that they would take the time to respond to viewers concerns via educational means if nothing else.
Did anyone have a similar experience?
