I want to volunteer to be a member of the Dem Attack Dog Kennel ......
..... but have no idea where to find it.

I want to be an attack dog. I want to get out there, in the streets and in the gutter. I want to be a Democratic Party attack dog. I'll live for the next two months on blood and body parts if need be.

Where do I volunteer? Where do I go?

Oh .... yeah ... we're Dems ..... the 'nice' party. The 'thinkers'.

Seriously ... is there ANY place to volunteer that needs a junk yard dog? I am SO fucking tired of losing to slime.

Something like "The Sting". We break something big a week or two before the election.

26. I'm thinking rumor campaigns. Those nasty little whispers, dontcha know?
Remember the formula: "Would you vote for (republi-CON candidate's name here) IF YOU KNEW THAT he/she had (nasty sex, gay, racist, embezzlement, slumlord, illegitimate children, three wives at the same time, sponsors whorehouse, whatever, kkk membership, Nazi party, communist party, fucked in the choir loft during Mass, raped young boys, killed JonBenet - well, maybe THAT is going too far)?"

You're not flat-out making an accusation. You're simply insinuating things. Implying things. After all, you can always ask. File it in the "I'm JUST SAYING!" file.

And for awhile, nobody would know where it came from, and the establishment Dems could legitimately disavow any knowledge of our actions. Besides, they can't control us since we're not part of them in any way, and we're certainly not on their payroll. Gives them plausible deniability. We MAY have to be the shadow Blackwater Ops types here. Rogue operatives. But working for the good guys, for a change.

And since they're looking heavily into "opposition research," to hit Dems on the very local level, WHY CAN'T WE DO THE SAME THING?

Whatever it takes! Count me in!

33. That was my thinking as well (see downthread).
It can even be a grassroots effort.

There's a million sneaky, unofficioal ways to hurt them, and I'm no longer willing to risk my son's future on keeping it "above the belt." I've got a nation to defend!

Boots to the balls--I'm ready. My four inch stilettos have been known to do some severe damage, too!

Expose those two and ATTACK them and you get your fair shot at BushInc.

6. I think many of us feel as you do, H2S, but the RWers have an
enormous advantage--they own or control the lion's share of the media. That's where most "attacks" play out these days. We're stuck with calling and e-mailing various media outlets when the outrage becomes more egregious than usual, for example "Path to 911." It sucks to always be playing catch up.

No experience, no funding, but plenty of results.

But yeah, get used to the "but we need to discuss real issues" crowd.

IGNORE THEM AND CONTINUE TO FIGHT.

Good luck.

10. worth a read
From an advertising type who supposedly does pr stuff for reps
as pointed out on another thread... rule 5 is particularly apt. for Dems

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/9/9/124753/8755
RULE FIVE
Stop playing by "Marquess of Queensberry" rules. Before you get punched, you punch. Hard. Whenever possible, you punch below the belt. And most importantly, even after they are down, you keep punching.

George Bush. Cocaine. Alcohol. The National Guard. Deserter. With 40 days to go before the election, there should have been 40 awful revelations about George Bush -- one each day, each worse than the one before it.

Hint!
Stop being a candy-ass. If you start lamenting, "I'm becoming just like THEM", you have just guaranteed their victory. They currently OWN the playing field. You either play by their rules or YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE. Your job is to punch hard and neutralize their negative attacks by being just as nasty. IF you make it back into office, THEN you can start working to reform how people get elected. For now, you must get mean!

11. I've Been Posting This In Threads For Months Now...
since I live in Cruella's District I have had an enormously difficult time "hanging" in here! Too many days of depression and desperation! I FINALLY found "one" small place in my area, just lately that has "some" action going, but it's only local. I've gone to so many meetings and ANY protests that have sprouted up around here (mostly very few people) and I've been shouting REVOLUTION for far too long now!

The APATHY of our Democratic Leaders have me tearing my hair out! It's just lately that some have gotten more aggressive, but is it too late? MSM says looks like Democrats will win The House.... I say, when I SEE it I'll believe it! I have become so cynical that I actually think they are saying this so that Repukes will rally and get out and play "Praise To Allah" or "Bow To The King" again!

Crimineeeeee, we CAN'T even get a program pulled even though many BIG TIME Democrats have voiced their opinion and stated it's a lie. One of the very best comments came from David Gergen who said that it was absolutely out of line to run this show especially because the so called "characters" are real people and they are distorting the real facts! Even given this, they get the go ahead and won't pull the show!

And they keep saying that all the fuss everyone is making about it will only give it HIGHER ratings! We live in a VERY SICK AMERICA!!!

For Governor-to-Be Martin O'Malley

After the primary we may also choose to do it for the winner. But we're kinda divided here. I want Mfume. Sparkly sez Cardin. Ah hell, we'll probably work for either one of them.

Maybe it was because we were on Delmarva....I dunno much about MD red vs. blue districts/areas.

But it was disheartening....hope Mfume has a shot.

28. Well .... couple of things ......
First ... in Maryland, the bias is Democratic. But we're like everywhere else .... a lighter shade of purple.

Signs ....... the local Dems put up signs. The Repubs put up ****SIGNS*****. Like bilboard size monstrosities. And they put them everywhere, including uninvited on private property. It gets the buzz going, but the leection results usually put the lie to it (except for Bobby Kennedy's oldest kid doing a **super** shitty job of campaigning for governor last time).

The eastern Shore is pretty like a softer version of Alabama or Mississippi.

22. I'm with ya, my friend. Show me the mud!
I wish there was such a thing. Because I, too, am ready, and ready to fight as dirty as necessary. Smackdown vs. Raw has nothing on us.

Frankly, sometimes I even find myself fantasizing about making a paper trail to prove my "conservative" cred, and then infiltrating the enemy as a mole, and reporting back. But I don't think I could stomach it, realistically.

24. I truly love dogs, I do. All kinds, pretty much.
So I hear ya on the canine thing.

But I think air strikes might be our best option. Is that doable? Call in air strikes on Republicans. On FOX News.

I understand there will be legal impediments.

But let's see if we can't work around them.

29. sure, one ...
an air force of one? that's your attack force? i'll never say a bad word about the Snoopster ... yeah, nobody could fly like he could ...

i'm thinking more of a land-based force of terriers ... they never give up; they have the ultimate tenacity ... how about a compromise? a land-based force of terriers with Snoopy providing air support ... that could work ...

30. Excellent improvement. The terrier land force advancing in an
impenetrable phalanx against FOX News headquarters, with the Snoop zooming in overhead to provide punctuation.

With their propaganda center taken out, I think the bulk of Republicans nationwide will swiftly surrender.

Absent the terriers, I'm left with goddam Brit Hume, and that just isn't going to cut it, no matter how much he does that lip-pout of his.
