And now "they" are trotting out the lie that the civil war in
Iraq was caused by al Qaeda ..... I need to shower, I feel dirty

17. I Noticed
he didn't have on his flag pin...perhaps it's because he no longer recognizes the UNITED States of America...he thinks it's now simply the state of Haliburton of North America. They haven't agreed yet as to how to incorporate the Haliburton logo onto the new national flag.

18. I noticed he DID NOT say: "all options are on the table"
with regard to Russert's questions about Iran. I thought that was a significant admission of his waning power within the administration, since, in the past he as ALWAYS used that phrase when talking about Iran and their nuclear activities.

6. AMERICAN JUDAS

Dick Cheney exposed Valerie Plame to cover up his association with A.Q. Khan's Nuclear Walmart. Read about it here: http://s93118771.onlinehome.us/DU/AMERICANJUDAS.pdf

7. His confidence is eroding, just a bit. Timbo isn't quite as inclined to
to toss softballs as he used to be.

He's been held to account to the words he's spoken in the past. Trying to do the Rumfeldian "let me explain what I meant, which is the opposite of the words I spoke" strategy.

13. It was the expression on his face after Timbo showed his March 16,2003
appearance.

The clip ended abruptly and the camera did a quick cutaway to Cheney. Wide eyed, glancing back and forth. The first time I've seen anything other than his death mask expression.

That's all I've got. :hi: MKJ

10. For those of us who have killed the TV, fill us in
What exactly did the Big Dick say?

After months and months if denying there is a civil war in Iraq, he (and pretty soon the rest of his merry band of prevaricators) is now saying there is a civil war in Iraq? And that it's al Qaida's fault?

Well, at least he's not saying it's Clinton's fault. That's the usual fallback position.

14. in short
The new "line" that the admin is putting out that the Shi v Sunni
fighting in Iraq was caused by al Qaeda and the Zarqawi.

Any fact or question that Dick did not like he said "I disagree w/ the
premise of you question, Tim." and then went on to give a self
serving answer that was usually false.

He also did a lot of putting things into "context."

When asked if he would still invade Iraq knowing what he
knows now (i.e. no link to 9-11, no WMDs, no threat to America) he
said, "yes."

He had one creepy, "I am sure we will maintain both houses after the election."

Russert got him pretty good but again failed to do any real follow up.

15. Thank you.
That's pretty much what I would expect out of him.

Russert may have failed to follow up because he thought the obvious spin spoke for itself. It doesn't sound like he was being the usual junta patsy that he's been for too long. At least he was asking questions that should have been asked in 2002, before the invasion. Better late than never, but this is four years, tens of thousands of lives and billions of misappropriated funds late.

I don't necessarily read anything sinister into his talk about holding Congress in the elections. We've heard that kind of bravado before from Candidates about to be buried in a landslide. And right now, the election looks beyond stealing, although we have to make sure it stays beyond stealing.

12. What do you expect?
The gubmint has been spending a lot of money and time in inflating the role of Zarqawi and Al Qaeda in Iraq (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/09/AR2006040900890.html). If you don't use it you lose it.

These Straussian, mendacious bastards have to go. And so do the "establishment politicos" that feed us the one-sided, simplistic drivel that passes for political platforms.

That leaves us with perhaps a handful of elected officials, but it's a start.
