Finally....finally...
Senator Pat Roberts has done everything in his power to keep the truth concealed for the last 3 or 4 years. Finally, the truth is coming out. The question is: Will it stay around long enough for the people to see?

WASHINGTON -
Saddam Hussein rejected overtures from al-Qaida and believed Islamic extremists were a threat to his regime, a reverse portrait of an Iraq allied with Osama bin Laden painted by the Bush White House, a Senate panel has found.

The report, released Friday, discloses for the first time an October 2005
CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.

I thought there is more to come about */Cheney creative use of misinformation to take the country to war.

This report basically seems to argue for them, it was bad intelligence, but who could have known?

6. They specifically say "flawed intelligence" so they can blame it on
the CIA even though the CIA was the one saying Saddam and Al Qaeda don't get along. The WH and their pet Congress have been using this ruse all along for anything related to their lies about anything.

Fair comment, but they should have expressed it less equivocally. Perhaps clarification on this specific point might be sought. If they deny the latter, they should state who it is they blame, if not the said hawks or the CIA experts, who we know were actually seeking to enlighte them, in the teeth of their invincible ignorance and hostility.
