Why Is The US Still Friendly With Saudi Arabia?
President Bush said Tuesday, “America makes no distinction between those who commit acts of terror, and those that harbor and support them, because they’re equally guilty of murder.”

Does that include Saudi Arabia?

Click here to look at the evidence (and the photo of Bush kissing King Abdullah).

9. It appears so, yes...
remember that the Saudi government successfully lobbied to have parts of the 9/11 Commission report redacted. Think about that. A foreign government lobbies to redact portions of a report commissioned by the U.S. Congress.

just like our media pretends the Bush's aren't just the best buddies with the Saudi royals, just like the media seems to obfuscate the role of the Bush family in the defense industries, going way back to Sam Bush, who was on the war aquisitions board way back in WW I. The Bush family learned early that there was big money in weapons' sales.

Some things we just won't hear about. I always say, while the media is anything but liberal, the biggest way that it skews the news, and Americans' perceptions is by obfuscation. Wouldn't it have been nice if we'd seen a bit of Bush family history during the election, so we'd know exactly who we were dealing with? Yea, that'd have been nice.

12. should the democrats
make this apparent hypocritical stance an issue this November, and if so, will they?

this issue has always bothered me, since it became known that the bin laden family members were allowed to leave the country when other planes were grounded.

3. That should be order of business number one in a Democratic Admin.
Cut off all relations with Saudi Arabia.

We can get the additional oil we need from Venezuela, by apologizing to Hugo Chavez and offering his country our friendship.

13. IIRC, Michael Moore said in "F9/11" that Saudis own 6% of US
...they own 6%.

That might have some bearing on why Bush kowtows to them.
