Bush reveals to perky Katie that he regrets saying "Bring It AWWWWWWWN..."
Bush tells Couric regrets Abu Ghraib, 'Bring it on' comment

President Bush told new CBS anchor Katie Couric during a taped interview that he regretted the torture scandal at Abu Ghraib and some comments he made the past few years including "Bring it on."

"When you look back on the last five years, President Bush, is there anything that you wish you had done differently?" asked Couric. "Yeah," replied Bush. "I mean, I wish, for example, Abu Ghraib didn't happen. That was a stain on our nation's character and it sent a signal about who we're not to a lot of people around the world."

"I probably could have watched my language a little better, you know," added Bush. Couric asked, "And in terms of saying --"

"'Bring it on,' for example," replied Bush. "Sometimes I try to explain myself in plain terms and sometimes the terms are too plain."

1. He already admitted those two
as mistakes in a previous interview with someone. They are about the only mistakes he has ever admitted to, and he continues to trot them out. Nothing new here.

16. No real admission--just talking points generated to deflect the question

2. Seems like he already made similar comments...
a few months ago, and the press was treating it like it was some kind of bombshell back then. It was so against Bush's character to admit a mistake, blah blah blah. I guess the lemmings are falling for it again.

4. It's THRILLING...first, the "TomKat" baby pics...now THIS...
I just have this nagging feeling that CBS isn't paying the Perkinator enough. She's like a 21st Century Moses, parting the Red Seas of journalism with her wonderful perky perkiness.

Did I mention she's PERKY?

:silly:

10. What the H is this "perky" business? Could someone explain?
Someone actually had a doctor on MSNBC discussing Katie's obvious botox treatments that have frozen her face. If Katie is so proud of herself why would she feel the need to change her face into a fixed stare?

I feel it would be a good idea to keep newsreaders off camera and just broadcast their voices although Katie's voice is obnoxious. OTOH, just get rid of her.

12. Virtually every person in the media who discusses Couric...
...refers to her as "perky." I'm assuming that comes from the hideous Jack-O-Lantern head full of teeth and the bared gums, but there might be other criteria. If "perky" means "annoying pain in the ass," I'd also consider her to be perky.

it. I looked the word up and am more confused. I don't see her as cheerful, buoyant, self-confident, lively or light-hearted.

7. Is this the best Couric can do? Wow, I am blown away by her skills!

Abu Ghraib sent a signal about who "we we're not"? Like having a string of DUIs proves one is not a drunk? Did the brilliant Katie even blink when he came up with that one? Sheesh.

Nice one George, saying something utterly stupid like "bring it on", he tries to turn into an exhibit of his underlying virtue. How many of these did Katie let go by? All of 'em? I thought so.

Well with her we know what we're getting. Many exclusive Katie/Bush interviews to come. Bet on it.

14. And that's ALL!?!?

You could fill volumes with the classic verbal blunders this idiot has committed.

One of my favorites .....

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.''

-- George Bush at the signing ceremony held at the Pentagon for a $417 billion defense spending bill held August 5, 2004 --
