Just to be clear here....
Have I got this right?

From what I heard about Bush's speech today, he once again confessed on national television that he has been breaking both US law and International treaties in his administration's handling of foreign combatants in his "War on Terror," and now he's asking the US Congress to act jointly and in a "non-partisan way" to pass laws that not only make what he did legal, but to word the legislation in such a way as to prevent prosecution, and in both cases make it retroactive?

Is that about it?

1. Yep.
Both of which actions (asking to have his illegal activities made retroactively legal) should also be considered illegal and impeachable, in my opinion.

2. That's the way I read it.
You'd think someone would impeach this guy.

I only heard excerpts, though.

3. He also gave up 'secrets' that he chastised others for.
The timing is the reason, but why isn't it not as important now as it was then?

5. Yeah, how many times does he get
to break the law and get off scott free? When will the insanity end? These are NOT rhetorical questions.

Got the call just a little while ago. When they do the confirmation call, it's a good sign they intend to publish.
