NJ 5th Dist: Paul Aronsohn seeking Internet buzz (great YouTube ad)
Democrat Paul Aronsohn is using a Madison Avenue technique in his bid to oust Republican Scott Garrett from the 5th Congressional District: Internet word-of-mouth advertising where a catchy message can spread exponentially.

The camp is creating and distributing ads specifically for YouTube.com, the video file sharing site, hoping to mobilize key constituencies that might support the Democrat's bid for office.

This week, an Aronsohn ad that highlights his rival's opposition to abortion, will land in the inbox of New Jersey's 14,000 members of the National Abortion Rights Action League.

The goal is to create a buzz around the Aronsohn campaign among those who support abortion rights, say NARAL officials who have agreed to distribute the YouTube spot to their membership.

Arohnsohn's opponent, incumbent Scott Garrett, is apparently running as a social moderate. The YouTube video suggests otherwise :)
