Outake on Hume/Kristol & Wallace talk re: Libby & Armitage
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/03/libby-pardon-2/

"....SNIP

HUME: No one has. No one has been charged.

WALLACE: But he has been charged with lying to a grand jury. If he lied to a grand jury…

KRISTOL: The things he allegedly forgot about them are much less consequential than what Richard Armitage forgot. Richard Armitage forgot for three months that he talked to Novak. He forgot for two years that he talked to Bob Woodward, three weeks before he talked to Novak. Richard Armitage has not been indicted, and he shouldn’t be. The idea that Libby is indicted for less

WILLIAMS: But he lied. Did he lie or didn’t he lie?

KRISTOL: He didn’t lie in any serious meaning of lying before a grand jury."

1. But the Clenis lied about a private affair
and that is far worse than lying about outing a CIA agent! :sarcasm: These people are just stupid, ignorant, arrogant, asinine, jerks!

3. 3 months? Wasn't that when the investigation started? So Armitage
did tell the truth on Novak.

4. what is any serious meaning of lying? a lie is a lie ask martha
stewart. She just lied a little and got hammered. Is a white lie the same as a major lie?

These wing nuts are brazen with their logic.

Kay Bailey Hutchinson had said on air about the indictment of Libby. They couldn't get him (libby) on treason so they (Fitz) got him (libby) on that foolish standby charge of "Obstructing Justice, destroying evidence" and several other minor felonies" she should eat those words come Nov. if she is running for re-election.

6. And Armitage didn't admit to being the source for a WHOLE 3 MONTHS..
Edited on Mon Sep-04-06 03:59 PM by applegrove
Three months is when the investigation was started. Who was he supposed to admit it to? Before then? And when he was under the threat of being charged for perjury to a grand jury... he told the truth. Libby choose not to.

10. IT depends on what your definition of "lying" is
If by lying you mean not telling the truth, then you must realize that is the republicon modus operandi -- and regular morals do not apply.

republicons think they are "special." and so FUDGING is perfectly OKAY in the so-called moral universe of republicons.

Don't "believe " me? Check with the Great Moral Arbiter of republicon family values, William Bennet, who loves to moralize about other people and to gamble. Or New Gingrich, who loves to pontificate about Family values, and then visited his sick wife in the hospital to present her divorce papers so he could dump her and marry his young secretary.

republicon "moral" values are really quite simple, you see
