Hey! Check out this cool (Click-able) New York Times 2006 Election Guide!
<http://www.nytimes.com/ref/washington/2006ELECTIONGUIDE.html?currentDataSet=senANALYSIS>

Lot's of good or encouraging news in it!:bounce:

Note: It opens to the Senate races, but if you click the tabs near the top of the page  it also has House and Governor races.

Warning: If you show this to any die hard Republican and/or Bush supported, they'll instantly dismiss it, because it's from the New York Times.

5. Am I missing something? Looks like the Dems aren't decidedly
winning either either of the Houses of Congress. I'm not encouraged at all. We need landslides to assure victory, I'm afraid.

6. Click on the yellow/orange "toss up" blocks...
...most of those are Dems ahead of the Republican incumbents by several points.

Also, if you add most of those to the dark and lite blue seats, the numbers add up to both houses going democrat in a big way.

But mostly, it's a good tool to see where things are going well and were we need to do more work.

8. In Ohio they're using some of the bogus poll numbers
Edited on Sun Sep-03-06 10:21 AM by OzarkDem
I'll give them a "C" on credibility for that one. U of Cincinnati is not a reliable pollster. It always oversamples R.

And they're showing Voinovich and DeWine as being "moderates"? What a joke! They both have records for voting with Bush over 95% of the time.

9. I agree with you on the OH numbers.......
They're calling OH a "toss-up" whereas everything that I've read and have been hearing show otherwise.

10. With Ken Blackwell counting the votes, saying Ohio is a toss-up is about..
...the best to be hoped for. He's going to steal any of the races he can, mark my words.:kick:

14. It's useful, but too horse-racy for me.
I could spend hours on that. I'd rather head down to my local Congressional candidate's office and volunteer. In fact, that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
