the article linked below says that the US government is fighting back against a wave of 9/11 "conspiracy theories" ... some press reports suggest that as many as one out of three Americans believes the US government blew up the WTC ...

the point worthy of focus here is NOT to get into yet another discussion of Mihop and Lihop and tin foils ... the point is that Americans, even looking at the most heinous conspiracy theories possible, no longer believe what they are told by their own government ...

during their recent book tour, 9/11 Commission heads Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton made it painfully clear that their official 9/11 investigation was blocked and resisted at every possible turn ...

by what madness does the government now expect to have anyone listen to anything they have to say??? ... it is the epitome of arrogance to expect blind acceptance to whatever their latest propaganda campaign is ... if they want credibility on the issue, they need to stand before America and DEBATE the issue with their harshest and most knowledgeable critics ... to merely spew out press releases without a proper, unrestricted inquiry is no longer going to fly ... the days of blind obedience and silent acceptance are over ...

one thing's for sure, Americans do NOT know the truth about what happened on 9/11 ... when the official inquiry results in a huge cover-up, one "theory" is as valid as the next ... those who think themselves "oh so wise and rational" and who "know" that the wacko conspiracy theorists are just deceiving themselves, in truth no nothing at all ... the watch words remain: "trust no one" ...

U.S rebuts 9/11 homegrown conspiracy theories

The United States government is attacking conspiracy theories about the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York as the fifth anniversary of September 11 approaches.

According to a Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll carried out in July, more than one-third of Americans suspect U.S. officials helped in the September 11 attacks or took no action to stop them so the United States could later go to war.

The State Department responded this week with a rebuttal of World Trade Center demolition theories and doubts about other events of the day that abound on the Internet.

even in wildest imagination it's hard to picture an organization planning and carrying out the disposal of the passengers on the 4 supposed jets used on 911.....if they were gassed re payne stewart as part of globalhawk, or if they were forced off their craft and taken away somewhere (where, presumably, select excons/mercenaries/psychos from timbuctoo(?) etc shot them before they were sausage factory-ed) it still defies belief that such a cold blooded deed could have been carried out. so much so it's easier to go along with the preposterous official story (there was no human dna found at the flight 93 crash site, the bodies found at the pentagon were all pentagon personnel etc)
when people get their minds around the sheer desperation of the 2k election putschists, such a horrific crime as 911 appears less atrocious. these people murdered tens/millions in the 'holocaust' ...we dress up evil as one thing or the other, but the fact is 911 was only unusual in one respect - the only ones able to benefit from it and also able to plan and carry it out were somehow able to escape public suspicion.... at least in the pigmedia

but those holes don't add up to anymore than the normal occurrences that happen on momentous events.

As for this not about hating bush, I honestly believe that if Al Gore was President when this happened and it still would have, almost all of this would be on freeper threads and we would be scorning them for their foolishness and their large tin foil hats

I know what happened on that day: 19 Muslims extremist high jacked 4 planes and crashed them into our most important buildings that projected our power and might.

I don't know what happened on 9-11 and that's just the point. The story we have heard is simply not credible in any way.

That's the truth of the OP. No matter if the 'officialy story' is 1000% dead-on acurate, fully ONE THIRD of our fellow citizens simply don't believe it.

And the point of this thread ought to be equally stark: If our govenment had been earning our trust on every other matter they've touched, that one third of citizens who doubt the official story would be reduced to one third of one percent.
