FREEDOM on the INTERNET ! ! ! Use it or loose it...
I hate to harp... but I'm gonna do it anyway.

Congress is pushing a law that would abandon the Internet's First Amendment called "Net Neutrality".

-SNIP-

"Companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast are pouring more than $100 million into campaign contributions, phony "Astroturf" PR firms, lobbyists and TV and radio advertising in a drive to strong arm Congress into passing Sen. Ted Stevens’ bad telecom legislation (HR 5252).

http://www.savetheinternet.com/blog/

This can not be allowed to pass or what we see, what we'll have access to will be determined by the corps. And we already know where that leads...

At this link you'll find a chart listing the stances on "Net Neutrality" of all 100 members of the Senate http://www.savetheinternet.com/=senatetally

As of my last check there were still 56 unknown and 4 wafflers, 26 for (NN)and 14 against. Needless to say most of those "for" are dems.

4. I know of many big Telcos who are jonesing to grab it and then bill you
for the right for you to use it again.

TelCos want the rights over the internet and want to get those rights free of charge. Then you will get a nice big fat bill from them allowing you to use their internet.
