I think Dan Bartlett just issued a threat to us..."consequences"
for opposing the war, or for speaking out, he was very nasty, and it sounded like a threat to all of of us who dare question Bush on this war.

I can not WAIT to get hold of the Hardball transcript on that interview.

He is almost as mean and nasty a little man as his boss.

It is amazing how powerfully these warmongers speak, like they are on a mission from God...or something.

1. Bartlett may speak nasty but he has a weak mouth and is nothing more
than a little dweeb member of the evangelical cult.

2. There are "consequences" for pulling out of Iraq..."
I wish someone had informed him a few years ago that there are "consequences" for invading Iraq also. They said they would greet us with flowers and hugs. No one thought it would last over 6 weeks. Now they tell us there are "consequences"..??

4. He must be mad at Dean
Who smacked the hell out of the Bush admin yesterday in his interview. He said that Bushco had no business ignoring the advice of the military again and again, particularly when no one in the administration ever served in the military.

6. The last time they came out saying this crap(Cheney) they
were privy to info we didn't have. Makes me wonder whats about to happen that they can then say they told us so.

8. True, they are getting more shrill by the day
so the word for today is "consequences"- yesterday it was "fascists". Word to the Bush cabal: Don't you DARE threaten me, you evil weasels!

13. Found it...he did say there were "consequences."
Bring it on Dan Bartlett, bring it on. Just keep on talking your talk of consequences. Sounds like Joe McCarthy to me. And he ain't around anymore. People caught on to him, and they will catch on to you.

BARTLETT: Rumsfeld talked about critics—as you have pointed out and many times they are on this program—where they go off and say the president lied and people died, that the administration is incompetent, the administration is this, the administration is that. And it is important that the administration clearly articulate and set the record straight on many of these outrageous comments that people are making.

And some of the outrageous comments are coming from people who want to take control of the Congress. There are consequences for the rhetoric that they are employing at this time and at this juncture in the war on terror. And it is incumbent upon officials in this administration to clearly explain to the American people what those consequences are.

Come on, big bad bully Dan. Bring it on.

16. Consequences...
for what? ...navagating the projectile chunk hurling by Bush's War Admin this week? People are finally fed-up with the divisive tactics. How many of these empty B.S. campaigns have we endured by these criminals so far this year alone? Well, it's been five long years since 911, and what we got to show for it with these liars? ...they can't even explain Bush's War with their illogical and demented propaganda constructs! A week ago we had a presser, a what an insightful presser that was! This week Bush and Williams in New Orleans! Then to the American Legion they paraded, one-by-one, to implore over and over for the nation's patience and understanding...while for five years they been rewarding us with incompetence and bile. I'm thinking consequences too...as in impeachment. These guys are now scared to death of being held accountable for their own role in Bush's War. They will think, do, and say anything at this point to save their asses. They've proven that much.
