AWOL Junior gives his big hero speech today.
Get out the flags. Gear up to cheer. Today, AWOL Junior is going to teach American Legion members a thing or two about war. Seriously. This spoiled bully, who never bothered to honor his own National Guard commitment, is going to wrap his pampered butt in a flag and chop at the air with the same hands that, back during the Vietnam War, checked the DO NOT VOLUNTEER FOR OVERSEAS box.

Bush`s speech follows Rumsfeld`s tirade. Rumsfeld, a man who has never seen combat, followed Cheney, the warmonger who received five deferments during the Vietnam War. Here you have it, folks. The Republican Party`s top three experts on war-making, not cutting and running like the decorated John Murtha. If this isn`t twisted, I don`t know what is. The next step will probably be the unveiling of triplet bronze busts of these American heroes, uniformed, flagged and combat ready.

How much longer are we going to tolerate this sickening crap? Are these guys ever going to peer into a casket and view their lifeless child fresh home from the invasion of Iraq? Are they ever going to grab on to their child`s war wheelchair and help him into the bathroom? Will they ever don defective vests or drive the lead Hummer on some Iraqi death road? Will their homes be blown up or their kid`s legs be blown off? No. They`re too valuable. Too important.

Bring it on, Bush. Bring on that big hero speech about staying the course until we "win." Stand up there and highlight your lies with that puff and swagger. Stick your chest out and bellow at us about courage. Maybe it will take the edge off the fact that you`ve never been weaker. You are, after all, the president who decided to play a guitar while people were drowning in their attics. Same hero, different day.

1. I am waiting to see the reaction from the Veterans.
Will they sit there and be polite, or will many of them do what they did last year, turn their backs.

2. George Bush is a King without a Kingdom. America belongs to
WE THE PEOPLE. It will never belong to Bush. And we're going to start taking back our country in November. Bush has passed his peak, it's all downhill now.

All he has is terra and fear. And Americans are growing weary of that. He has nothing else, there's no stunning economy, the population is unhappy with him and his management of the country, we don't like the direction it's headed. We're tired of his war. We're tired of his lies, and people are beginning to comment about the price of gas coming down due to the election. It's all about manipulation and photo ops. We're on to you, George.

For his final scene, George will play the role of a pathetic President cast aside by the people of the country, due to poor performance, unkept promises, and a lack of credibility.

Enjoy it while it lasts, George, the curtain is about to come down on your sham disaster of an Administration.

Said it was unpatriotic to criticize the war. He came out with that a few years ago and everyone here that belonged resigned enmasse. They still bother me to renew, like I would!

NEW YORK -- The American Legion, which has 2.7 million members, has declared war on antiwar protestors, and the media could be next. Speaking at its national convention in Honolulu, the group's national commander called for an end to all "public protests" and "media events" against the war, constitutional protections be damned.

"The American Legion will stand against anyone and any group that would demoralize our troops, or worse, endanger their lives by encouraging terrorists to continue their cowardly attacks against freedom-loving peoples," Thomas Cadmus, national commander, told delegates at the group's national convention in Honolulu.

The delegates vowed to use whatever means necessary to "ensure the united backing of the American people to support our troops and the global war on terrorism."

Cadmus added: "It would be tragic if the freedoms our veterans fought so valiantly to protect would be used against their successors today as they battle terrorists bent on our destruction, so we're just going to act as if those freedoms don't exist and never did."

6. At least Hitler made it to Lance Corporal and
experienced the sting of mustard gas in combat.

Was actually awarded a medal for bravery too.
