Anyone else hear the interview today with Neo-Con Lunatic Michael Ledeen?
This could be THE Neo-Con, AEI Lunatic who is most responsible for the mess we are in now, in the Middle-east (and the rest of the world too, I guess). This guy is totally off his nut!!!

He also claims credit for the "Islamo-fascist" label too!

A Conservative Perspective on U.S.-Iran Relations

Listen to this story...

Fresh Air from WHYY, August 30, 2006 · Conservative thinker Michael Ledeen holds the Freedom Chair at the American Enterprise Institute, but prefers the term "democratic revolutionary" to "neoconservative." He discusses the current and future U.S. policy toward Iran, arguing that the United States should encourage change from within the country, rather than launching an all-out attack. <http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5736783>

The second half of the show was a very depressing interview with Foreign policy expert Joseph Cirincione, a very good interview, but his explanation of the neo-con thinking might give you nightmares:

Nuclear Weaponry, Yesterday and Today

Listen to this story...

Fresh Air from WHYY, August 30, 2006 · Foreign policy expert Joseph Cirincione is senior vice president for National Security and International Policy at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. He s been called a nonproliferation guru. His soon-to-be-published book is called Bomb Scare: The History and Future of Nuclear Weapons.

1. That was the "Threaten the Iranian people with nukes nutcase"
If you don't come up with a "democratic" government to OUR liking we'll nuke you. Voting for people YOU like doesn't count.

This guy probably has phone numbers to offices in the White House.

3. I was absolutely amazed at how he couldn't even answer a simple...
...question without reverting to his memorized talking points.

It still amazes me that these people have taken control of our government.:hurts:

4. Somethings going on with the Neocons
They don't normally let this lunatic out much. He's the worst of the worst. Add that to Bush, Cheney and Rummie all spouting the new Islamic-facist mantra and if appears they are pulling out all the stops to try to save their sorry asses.

7. You should read this about him...
http://www.counterpunch.org/leupp11012005.html

Scroll down a little and read the article in the middle frame. Note this section but be sure to read the whole article:
"Michael Ledeen: neocon columnist, National Review Online contributing editor, specialist on the thought of Machiavelli and on Italian fascism, former employee of the Pentagon, the State Department and the National Security Council, was involved in the transfer of arms to Iran during the Iran-Contra affair. Active in the American Enterprise Institute, Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), and Center for Democracy in Iran (CDI). Advocates regime change by force in Iran and Syria."

Nicolò Pollari isn't the guy who was killed in Iraq while trying to save that Italian reporter, is he?

I can't remember his name.

9. Good question
Nicola Calipari. Rearrange the letters, though, and you can get something pronounced the same. Seriously, though, it is a common first name variation and the ending of -ari is common, too. It's just coincidence.

Seriously, read Lindorff's latest on the whole issue:
http://www.counterpunch.org/lindorff08302006.html

Ledeen is the interesting connection because he is an editor of the neo-conservative National Review. Now, that is the "mag" that keeps getting insider tips and so forth from the Administration and pushing its propaganda.
