Breaking..."Stay the Course" has now been changed to "Adapt to Win!"
Edited on Wed Aug-30-06 04:48 PM by KoKo01
Ken Mehlman on "Hardball" just interviewed by "Noron" (Nora O'Donnell) said in reply to her grilling him on new Repug Talking Points that seem to be coordinated starting with Rummy's shot across Bush unbeliever's bow.

He said to "Noron" when she asked him about Bush's tell American's to "stay the course" "no not stay the course but.." and then launched into the new Repug TP "....the President's message is not "stay the course" it's "ADAPT TO WIN."

So...Dems we have one of the new "Test Market Points," from RNC.

What are we going to do about this?

3. Sounds like a flip flop to me.
Are we going to stay the course or not? Bush has already gone on record by stating that another President will end the war.

Adapt to win sounds like the GOP is flip flopping. What are they going to adapt? I thought we were already winning the war on terror.

The only adapting the GOP will be doing is whatever it takes to cover their sorry asses after the Dems gain control of Congress and (hopefully) start investigating the illegal crap that's been force fed down our throats for the last six years!

ADAPT THIS, GOP ---> :hurts:

6. Yeah, he admitted failure
When he said we would not leave Iraq while he is president.

So what is this "adapt to win" program but a bunch more BS?

4. Accuse them of nuanced flip-flopping. That throws two of their own...
...smear memes right back in their face.

7. That's just it..they are still staying their
same non course. They're not adapting to anything. they've got rummy out there talking about appeasement and fascists like they're not the ones doing it and not the ones who are.

Jon Stewart had a segment on this weeks ago and he showed bush saying in about 10 different clips.."stay the course" and then melhman comes on and says it's now "adapt and win".

11. I guess it didn't go over very well ...because us DU "media mavens" didn't
pick up on it ...or a least THIS DU'er didn't hear it laid out until "Noron" went after it?

Whatever ...their "SPIN" of "new messages" doesn't seem so far to be seen as "working" to get his "base" UP in the polls.
