I (and others) speculated he would replace rumsfeld if he lost the primary.

2. I've only ever heard that on DU, but I now see it's not just a

fleeting possibility and we're not the only ones speculating about Joe's future with the repugs.
If offered the job, I wonder if he'd take it. That sure would let us know where he really stands.
