1. I read a few older ones
a few years ago. There are very fun to read. I don't think he gets real deep into any kind of real political theory, but he makes pretty good arguments nonetheless."We're right, they're wrong" I think is pretty good. He's got one or two that he wrote with his wife, "All's fair in love and war" I think, which shows both their different views on politics and campaigning, and also their courtship. Very interesting.

3. "We're Right, They're Wrong" is Good
What I like about it is that it is a very mainstream defense of Democratic ideals that can play well in all groups and all parts of the country. I happen to believe that rallying the base is not the best plan to win elections, and that appealing to a broader spectrum is necessary.

Many Democrats have taken that to mean that they should adopt Republican positions or pander to the right. Like Dean, Carville is a fighter and shows how to fight politically using popular moderate arguments.

THIS is a message that Dems can win with nationwide.

4. Yeah, I think this is the best one.
I keep buying new copies because no one ever gives it back.

7. Yes, I agree with "We're Right, They're Wrong."
It's a good overview of the issues, why Democrats hold the positions they do, and how to get make the case to others.

Plus it is quite funny in sections, such as the dream sequence that opens the book.

9. That book really got me back into politics
After a decade of following the presidency and little else. I'm sure it was '96 because I was buying some OJ books and I stumbled across Carville's book on the way out of Barnes and Noble. I couldn't put it down and left it in my bedroom dresser to occasionally scan. Still there.

6. "We're Right, They're Wrong, a handbook for spirited
progressives" was quite inspirational back when it first came out - 1996.
