Virginia Senate...Larry Sabato comments...Felix in trouble
Sabato, a relatively conservative political science professor and prognosticator said this about the Virginia Senate race recently...for Sabato this is a huge admission

It's a big incentive for people to deliver and to bring big Democratic donors. Suddenly they see that George Allen is vulnerable. If they can't see that, they're blind.

1. I think this is going to be a very unpleasant autumn for the repukes
As Novakula said, yeah, the race could tighten by November. But it might also turn into a tidal wave for the Dems.

2. I didn't think that Sabato is a conservative
then again, I don't always read his analysis.
Anyway, this is obviously good news, especially since we can take out a potential 2008 Presidential Candidate and shut up the "guy I wanna have a beer with" bullshit when it comes to voting. Getting rid of Felix would also send a message nationally, that Virginia is NOT the "good ol' boy" state that it has been caricatured as.

3. What I meant by conservative...
Is that he rarely moves away from a relatively safe prediction...for him to acknowledge the possiblity that Allen might lose is an indication that Webb is showing real movement...

4. I would say "objective and scientific." Sabato doesn't say something he
can't back up with some real data. That's not conservative, that's called being scientific.

5. Sabato made his bones as a partisan political hack
during the Clinton inquisition. Nothing he says/writes is for any purpose other than to promote the repug agenda.
