Hey Democrats, its 90 days to elections. What issues are important to you?

We must have a roadmap for the future to energize the country, to show clearly what the Democratic party stands for.

I just want to get a thread started with some ideas on the issues we feel are important that our candidates and incumbents and the public can be galvanized around and look forward to going to vote in November.

My 3 main issues.

1. Timetable of withdraw from Iraq by mid 2007. Because we believe that perpetual war for political gains is wrong.

2. A real energy bill that includes alternate energy and a map to increased energy effiency.

3. Rescue the 4th Estate, by passing a law that rreverses the deregulations made by Reagan 1996 Telecom Act that is increasingly destroying the 4th estate, and making it just another FOX=CNN=CBS=NBC= propaganda news stations and right wing radio coast to coast..bring back the fairness doctrine.

whats your ideas to energize the country this comming November and give our congress persons a roadmap to work on.

1. All of those, oc & reopening the 911 Investigation for real answers,

truth...that will be my heartfelt wish this year and probably into 2008, given the powers that be. And re-establishing separation of church & state, I'm so sick of religious pandering & homophobia & fear, fear, fear tactics....you've got me on a roll now! :)

2. Democrats need to build the party so it's strong enough to sweep the

08 White House, with a view toward restoring our relationships with our allies.

American foreign policy needs a white-hot scrutiny and overhaul, and not least, some competent personnel.

Condoleezza Rice should be selling perfume at a department store. She's in way over her head. Her predecessor sold out the nation with that UN speech. He should be in jail.

3. The election systems.

The machines, the intimidation of voters, the mass disenfranchisement, the deliberately inadequate voting facilities in Dem precincts, the corrupted judicial oversight. It adds up to disaster, and it blocks solutions to all the other problems.

4. 90 days? It's a little over 2 months away on my calendar.

My issues:

1. Health care. (Admittedly a self-serving desire as I am being crushed by $1100/mo. health insurance premiums, but there are millions either similarly afflicted or have foregone coverage entirely.)

2. Iraq. Out. Now.

3. Alternate energy.

4. Affordable college tuition.

5. Truth in government. Kick the crooked bums to the curb then lock 'em up.
