Harris' excuse:"speaking to a Christian audience"&recognizes Holocaust
Harris' comments on religion draw criticism

Instead, Harris' campaign on Saturday released a clarification statement saying she was "speaking to a Christian audience, addressing a common misperception that people of faith should not be actively involved in government" in the interview.

The comments reflected "her deep grounding in Judeo-Christian values," the statement said, adding that Harris had previously supported pro-Israel legislation and legislation recognizing the Holocaust.

Harris has been trailing in recent polls and has also faced the resignations of campaign staff members.

State GOP leaders - including Gov. Jeb Bush - don't think the 49-year-old Harris can win and tried to find someone else to run instead against Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson in November. Fundraising has lagged, frustrated campaign workers have defected in droves and the issues have been overshadowed by news of her dealings with a corrupt defense contractor who gave her $32,000 in illegal campaign contributions.

1. I hate this use of the word "Christian"
I hate this use of the word "Christian" to mean a specific type of Christian. Probably 95% of the people Katherine Harris has ever spoken to are Christians -- how many Hindus or Muslims do you think she knows? I don't see how that's an excuse to say dumb stuff.

6. Is Harris REALLY a "Christian" wack-nut?
If she is, that would explain why she did anything and everything to elect the supposed "Christian" wack-nut George Bush.

Christian Insanity seems to be the sect that is now ruling this country. Why does it work for George Bush and not for the woman who put him into office?

11. Dog whistle politics
The people in her audience heard what she was saying; we just heard the words she used. And we weren't even really supposed to hear that. But after decades of using deep code words and signaling their true intentions to their selected audience, we've finally begun exposing just what it really means to the rest of the country when these subversives talk amongst themselves.

The good news is that Katherine isn't getting any traction in the polls, and as it turns out, she doesn't have $10 million at her personal disposal for running her vanity race.

Looks like Florida will return a Democratic Senator.
