can someone haul his a$$ off to Gitmo? And deny him habeas corpus which he fricking voted against for detainees?

An interesting article in Rolling Stone explained that the alleged "loony left" (bloggers etc) as you put it is actually "grassroots activism." So, essentially democracy is being attacked by Lieberman, the corporate-influenced moronic media, and even some of the DP establishment in Washington:
