Webb leading Allen in latest WSJ/Zogby Poll...
According to RaisingKaine.com

According to a just-released Wall Street Journal/Zogby poll, Jim Webb is now LEADING George Allen by 1.3 percentage points, 47.9%-46.6%. According to Zogby polling, Allen had been leading by about 11 points in mid-July, but that has evaporated in what John Zogby calls a "colossal political crackup" by Allen. Wow.

Gotta keep up the pressure, and get some money to Webb. DSCC should step up now with more money!

6. What a great couple of weeks!
GFA is exposed for what he really is,and the rest of Virginia is embarrased that the nation has seen them in this light. Jim remains positive and focused on getting his message out. His biggest obstacle is the money, so we can hope that this poll shows those holding the purse strings that its worth the fight.:bounce:

8. On a related note...
Conservative blogger Dan Riehl has initiated a smear campaign against S. R. Sidarth, the James Webb aide who Virginia Senator George Allen infamously called a "macaca."

Riehl found a poster on an anonymous message board who changed his moniker to "S.R. Sidarth" after the incident, and assumed that the poster was in fact Sidarth. That assumption is ridiculous; the board has at least three people calling themselves some variant of "George Allen," a number of Jesuses, posters calling themselves Bill Frist, Strom Thurmond, etc. In fact, the "S.R. Sidarth" poster has made comments about where he lives and goes to school that prove he isn't the real Sidarth.Nonetheless, Riehl is falsely attributing several profane comments to Sidarth himself. He has also deleted numerous comments pointing out the flaws in his reasoning.

Riehl's false accusations have spread to numerous other right-wing blogs.

13. What are they going to smear him with?
That they have evidence that he's really a monkey in disguise?

Immoral idiots.

10. Wow, just wow
I don't think Allen has been taking this seriously. He hardly even paused his campaigning for the White House. Now he will be blasting with both barrels - remember he still has a huge cash on hand advantage and we will be seeing a massive smear campaign. I hope Webb can stand the pressure. If he does it will backfire.

15. Sorry to rain on the parade but Zogby online polls are not credible
I think around June or July in 2004, Zogby had Kerry leading Bush by eight points in Tennessee. Kerry lost Tennessee by a double digit margin. Zogby polls are pretty much worthless.
