blackwell is getting C-R-U-S-H-E-D ...
it's going to take a whole lot more than election fraud to save his lying, cheating ass ...

here's the latest poll info:

source: http://news.yahoo.com/s/rasmussen/20060827/pl_rasmussen/ohiogovernor20060827

During the past several months, Democratic Congressman Ted Strickland's edge over Republican Secretary of State Ken Blackwell has ranged from four to seventeen percentage points. Now, in our latest election poll of Ohio's gubernatorial race, Congressman Strickland leads his opponent by an intimidating 57% to 32%. <skip>

Blackwell is viewed unfavorably by 55%. More ominously, 35% view him "very" unfavorably, a four-point increase since last month.

Especially after President Bush narrowly captured the state's electoral votes in 2004, strategists in both major parties see Ohio as a swing state, and expect that having a Governor of the same party as their presidential nominee can only help.

blackwell owns the voting equipment, personnel and rules. I really wouldn't be surprised if he didn't do everything he could to win this. Good Christian that he is.

4. It does matter.. If a person is loosing by too large of a margin,
he can't steal the election. If he did, then the serfs would start to question all the election. You can steal an election only when it is realitively close.

6. However
if he starts tearing his opponent down through swift-boating, it could make it closer and then he claims "momemtum" as to why he was down 6-7 points in the polls on election eve, only to win by just enough to not force a recount.

He will steal it if he can pull it off. That bastard will stop at nothing to "win".

53. That won't be enough this time
Strickland is a former Methodist Minister and apparently a very straight-up, honest fellow, even as far as politicians go. Those facts tied together haven't been lost on the "concerned moralistic" faction of Ohioans, this time around. Strickland and Blackwell in a sense are catering to the same group of people, so Blackwell's often-professed Christianity does not grant him any advantages over Strickland.

Essentially, Ohioans know that both men are Christians, or at least claim to be. Since we have determined as much, the question becomes more of "what will you do to turn Ohio around?"

16. spelling patrol
I'm sorry, that one is a pet peeve. Lose, lost, loser, losing. Something is gone. Loose, looser, something isn't tight. Notice the s sound in loose, noose, caboose as opposed to the more z like sound in lose. Lose breaks all the spelling rules, but that is still how it's spelled.

True story - someone I know has a "Born Looser" tatoo. Yeah, that really is a Born Loser when you misspell that particular phrase in a tattoo and yes he's a freeper.

I don't spell everything right either, I know. :)

50. Ohio simply flipped the votes on three referenda in the last election.
The ones the RW official favored but that were down 2:1 in the polls ended up getting a 2:1 "yes" vote. The ones the public favored 2:1 but the officials did not ended up getting a 2:1 "no" vote.

If Blackwell loses by a 2:1 margin, they will simply flip the votes, and he will win by a 2:1 margin. That's how they do it.

That "they can only steal the close ones" doesn't work anymore;
they are brazen, shameless, and have no reason to fear any
repercussions. They steal whatever they want to steal;
'close' is no longer a consideration.

Plus, Diebold has to let Democrats win a few every now and then, or else people will get suspicious.

Edited on Sun Aug-27-06 04:40 PM by LaPera
Secretary of States count the votes and choose the machines and dispatch how many machines and where, they can change the vote in a heartbeat...

Where ever there is Republican Secretary of State, anywhere across the country there will be fraud, of course favoring the republican this November...Florida, Ohio, California, Alaska, Georgia, Texas, etc. etc. etc...

They are NOT going just give up their majority without stealing it first...who can stop them? If caught nothing ever happens they know that, too late they are already in office and the republican corporate media goes to work...screaming that the Dem's are sore losers, there's no proof what-so-ever, (distortion for the mainstream)and that the Dem's are full of sour grapes...

Even though there will be tons of proof...it'll be ignored until it's too late and then we'll get a shitload of books about all the obvious fraud and stealing of votes--- and guest talking about it on every liberal talk show around the country!!

But then it'll be too late...and the Dem's will be scratching their heads saying maybe we should done this or this or support the war or...Dem leadership never considering even for a moment, it might be the republican owned electronic voting machines.

guidelines and set responsibilities...the Governor has no say over the Secretary of State's office's agenda or their priorities....the governor can of course make suggestions, but can not dictate Secretary of States policy, The Gov can only brings his gripes about the Secretary of States policies to the people through the proposition and initiative process.

And in most states where there is a republican Secretary of State, getting ready to steal votes for the republicans in November...There is more often than not a republican governor ready & willing to look the other way.

14. I saw my first Blackwell for Gov bumpersticker today.
The other side of the car had one of those stupid W stickers. Last week, at the store, I saw a woman with a Blackwell t-shirt on. Ick. But, what was worse, she had her 7/8 year old daughter with her, and she was dressed in an identical t-shirt. That was really upsetting. Blackwell is no friend of women(or anyone else for that matter). For that woman to promote a man who is against all abortion, even in life threatening cases, is beyond disgusting. It just sickened me to see that woman support someone who would happily let her daughter die if it meant preventing abortion. I felt really sorry for that little girl. How horrible it must be to grow up thinking that you are a second-class citizen who can't be trusted to make your own decisions.

However, I just can't imagine Blackwell winning Ohio. I don't see it happening.

15. Blackwell reports embarrassing buy of Diebold stock Conflict of Interest?
Ohio is reeling with a mixture of outrage and hilarity as Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell has revealed that he has owned stock in the Diebold voting machine company, to which Blackwell tried to award unbid contracts worth millions while allowing its operators to steal Ohio elections.

A top Republican election official also says a Diebold operative told him he made a $50,000 donation to Blackwell's "political interests."

Blackwell will have no problem having Diebold exec's "service" the voting machines, he did it for Bush, he can certainly do it for himself under the guise of; "The polls were all wrong"... (don't doubt it for a second)

on the ballot? There will be 4 candidates: Strickland (D) Blackwell (R) Fitrakis (Green) and Peirce (Libertarian), yet the media/pollsters are in a news blackout (except the Cincinnati Enquirer) about the other two. If you think they are insignificant, then why would a Dem lawyer from DC call up one of the independent candidates and attempt to get him to pull out of the race? (BTW it will benefit Ohio voters to have independent candidates in the race in case of voting descrepancies(remember Blackwell is counting the vote and party turnover would likely result in REAL INVESTIGATIONS!) only candidates can challenge an outcome in Ohio and the Dem Party (as we see in the CA-50 race and saw in '04), are not aggressive when it comes to challenges).

Arnold was at 32% just a couple of month's ago - Dem's were sure Arnold was toast and were all but celebrating, now, there's no way Arnold is going to lose in November unfortunately....Santorum, DeWine and at least a half a dozen other repugs counted out by these same Dem's, saying they were toast---They slowly creep back in....

I try to tell people I talk to every day and they just assume the Dem's already have the majority in the bag...Still a long way to go, I try to tell them, things change.... Republicans have all the money they need and tons of dirty trick, AND their number one dirty trick.... is always, when you have nothing to run on....LIE & USE CHARACTER ASSASSINATION AGAINST YOUR DEMOCRATIC OPPONENT. It's effective, it works, and it only turns-off one voting group from voting....the DEMOCRATS!
