Has he made a deal not to do anything more until after the Nov elections?

1. Whitewash

Now that it's officially a repeat of the anthrax mailing investigations, I think we can safely assume that the fortunate son's luck is holding out, that the wagons were circled, the stone wall erected. and the boy king will be protected from the consequences of his actions.

Fitzgerald will retire and die in bed. That's all we can expect out of this.

4. There are indictments under seal SO THIS IS NOT OVER YET
I understand where everyone is coming from HOWEVER, there are indictments UNDER SEAL and I don't think that this is over yet. I think it's a matter of timing and unsealing the indictments at the right time.

I know there are ALOT of bloggers who disagree but I have a feeling that something good might come right before the elections.

START THE IMPEACHMENT

15. what's your evidence for that?
The case is over. Libby is the only one Fitz saw fit to indict.

7. Have lost complete faith in Fitzgerald, sorry.....
Years ago before the 2004 election I asked this board if his investigation would be done before the 2004 election and when I suggested it would not, people scoffed.

Unless this investigation is going places unexpected and deeper than we all know, it is something that should not have taken this long to complete. Come on folks, how can it be that difficult to find out who outed Plame? Think of it - the ones that did it are not tough people at all. They are folks used to silk sheets, comfortable beds, good food and easy times - the thought of losing all that for a nice cell in a Fed pen would cause them to sing like a bird.

Hell, Martha Stewart is tougher than these pricks involved and we are supposed to believe that Fitzgerald can't break them?

8. Silly.
One could read the DU research forum to keep up to date on what Mr. Fitzgerald has been "up to." Or one can invest in silly theories about "deals."

11. O Fitz critics of so very little faith. And very tiny, literal minds.
Edited on Mon Aug-28-06 02:33 AM by BlueIris
Go cruise around real news sites for a while, particularly those staffed and utilized by real attorneys. Fitz is a skilled professional and is still doing his best to bring as many actual substantive indictments as he can. I'm sure it's difficult to fathom that a special prosecutor has to operate carefully in order to get things done effectively if you're the left wing version of a Free Republic member, but seriously: learn to read. You'll feel better. And grow up. This isn't grade school. Just because you think you're entitled to something right now doesn't mean you are, or that someone who has obligations far and above anything you've shouldered in your life should give it to you in the childish, immature way that you are demanding. What makes you believe that you even know whether or not my Fitzy should--or could--have done anything differently, anyway? Wait, nevermind. Don't answer, just stew in your own little pool of self-righteous indignation.

13. It is hard to be patience when i see democracy slipping away every
day. I have read and read. But the bottom line is that we only have 1 lone indictment. Libby. Tiny fish, and he hasn't been convicted. Karl Rove is still plowing evil among us.

12. My take on it is that Fitzgerald is a consumate pro.
He's smart and he's tough.

I say he's playing by the rules and we'll hear from him when he's good and ready to speak.

one hot number.

14. I imagine he's doing his job
His work doesn't fit neatly into a TV or election timeline but I'd rather he do it well rather than quickly. He is completely by the book which means most of what his office is doing is secret. Have faith and patience, things will unfold at their own speed.
