28. What happened to Hitchens after the show?

The cameras kept focusing on Maher and Sen. Cleland talking as the credits roll, which is strange since usually he makes it a point to talk with everybody on the panel after the show. I couldn't shake that question after I watched it. I do have my particular dreams of what happened (audience member comes down, thoroughly wails on Hitchens backstage with a Singapore cane). But I didn't know if those in the audience last night could shed a little more light on the subject, outside of Hitchens' utter pompous attitude that looked more like a spoiled brat than the supposed "smartest man in the world."

Speaking of dream beatdowns, was it me or did Maher really want to pound the living crap out of Hitchens within 5 minutes of the Panel's discussion? The facial expressions, some of his body language, that "Look of Death" he gave him that the camera focused on a few seconds. It seemed to me if there weren't any cameras there, he would've went Celebrity Deathmatch on his ass.

29. Had A Busy Day Today... Doing LOCAL Politikkin... Even Though

I DON'T know WHY! I'm such a glutton for punishment.

I had wanted to see what the reaction was from last night with Mr. Chris. There was ONCE a time a long time ago, early on C-span around 1988 or so when he DID make some sense!

Now he's such an ASS-HOLE! I had been waiting for Maher's and can tell you how disappointed I was to see HIM on! The whole show seemed a bit off in some way! Maybe Bill was trying to hold it in, but he seemed "overly calm" to me. I would have "retched rayt over" and yanked him by some "bear balls!"

Puulllleeeezze Billl.... never again! But I must say, it did look like Mr. Chris has been to see a plastic surgeon or something! I'm SURE he hasn't quit the bottle, but I didn't see the sweat, jowls and circles under his eyes that I've seen so many times before!!!

33. Well, I Thought His Show Last Night Was NOT Up To Par!

And I didn't really laugh all that much either. Max was OKAY, but had I been him I would have "talked right over" the S.O.B.! Then I would have called him out about his obnoxious finger gestures!!

At the very least I would have said something like, "Oh, yeah when you have nothing important to say, you use sign language!" Something like that anyway! With 4 men there I don't think there were a "pair" between them!

Maybe I've been working overtime with my "politikkin" but as a female... my fuse is getting really short!

35. One poster on another thread claims Hitchens walked off the set

during "New Rules" and was heard saying "Fuck You" to the audience as he left.

I've got it on tape...I'll have to play it again. He definitely HAD left the set by the close of the show, that much is certain. The way the camera held so tightly on Cleland and Maher indicated that no one was left. The other guest had to leave early to catch a plane; Maher had mentioned it on camera. No other reason to only have a two-shot than that there was no other guest from the panel left to show.

Hitchens was such a bastard! Maher should Never, Ever have him on the show again.
