Why Is It Flip-Flopping For Kerry... But Simply Thoughtful Changing Of
ones mind when it come to Christopher Shays (R-CT) & John McCain (R-AZ) saying they now see the Iraq War differently???

Shays going so far as saying that "we need a 'time-table" to withdraw" by next year. And McCain making comments about his disagreement with the Bush policy!

It seems to me that ANY Repuke who voted for the War.... before they have decided it's not going well now, should be held ACCOUNTABLE!!! But NO... for them, they just get to change their minds and it's perfectly okay!

Once again, I'm OUTRAGED! You'd think by now I wouldn't get so upset, after all it happens every other week! Another screw-up, scandal, bribe, mistakenly making off the cuff remarks and explaining the usage away, and of course... The War just might not be SO GREAT after all! And so much more!!

SCREW them, I've been so fed up for so long my blood boils. I try NOT to watch this stuff, but no matter I still find it out somewhere!! And please, before anyone tells me to get out there and work for change... I have been doing it for a very long time now. Maybe that's why my blood boils at every turn! I don't think anything I'm doing is going to help very much when the corruption is so rampant. I have actually thought about NOT voting because I honestly don't think my vote is going to be counted!!!

THIS IS HOW I FEEL ALL THE TIME!!!

:banghead: :nuke: :wtf: :banghead: :banghead: :nuke:

1. It's called GOP H Y P O C R I S Y.
And in keeping with the theme, it's OK for them to use it, but don't anyone else get the idea that they can do the same thing. Nuh-uh, that is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I hate Republicans. I know they're all going to go to hell, but that doesn't make me feel better NOW.

2. NOW Is what Counts! Going To Hell Later Doesn't Make Me
feel any better! Clinton & I are the same age, so I may not be around LATER!!

Oh, I just had to rant a bit and now I need to scream!! Red Tide is rampant down the road or I would take a walk on the beach, but just going outside makes me start coughing! I live pretty close to the Gulf and the last couple of days have been "nasty!"

Even my chocolate lab wasn't too happy going for our usual "night walks." At least I have a Dish and this is Friday night... Bill Maher will be on tonight, I think!!

4. Because they're better at rhetoric?
Because they don't hem and haw and try to explain their change of position with a 136 word, multiclause sentence, like Mr. Kerry?

Welcome to the real world, where life ain't fair, and you have to make an argument that makes sense to people.

5. And Maybe THEY Don't Have A Bunch Of Screw-Ball Swift-Boaters
hitting them over the head either!!! I'm sorry, I disagree that Kerry protested too much. It might have seemed that way, but PUKES went too far over the line, regardless!! I'm not going to attack Kerry here... and I hope this isn't going to turn into one of "these things" again! So excuse me, I for one have changed MY mind on many things in my life. I don't even think it's bad that THEY are changing their minds.... I just wonder where the OUTRAGE is from those who were OUTRAGED before!!!

More to the point... why does it REALLY matter how you say it??? They CHANGED their position, and I dare say THEY are doing it for POLITICAL reasons and for no OTHER reason! And it's taken them a VERY VERY long time to do this, so their statements are almost set in stone!!! The NUMEROUS NUMEROUS times they supported the Royal Pain In The Ass Idiot in a very definitive way should be of some note!

6. How you say it is everything
Whether it's good or bad to change one's mind is utterly beside the point. The fact that they can represent it as "smart adjustment" while Kerry was unable to talk himself out of the charge of "flip flopper" really says it all. Either you can make a case for yourself or yopu cannot. Kerry could not. Whining and moaning about "hypocrisy" or how it's all so "unfair" is the useless hobby of a loser. Make the argument, period. If it sucks, improve it.

8. didn't Shays and McCain support Bush's taxcuts?
Kerry voted for the war resolution, but at least he voted to pay for it..like most Democrats. On the other hand DINO's like Ben Nelson claimed to support the war, while only passing the cost of it down to future generations.

Republicans didn't support the war, they only wanted to promise the public something for nothing..victory without bloodshed! If more Republicans had opposed the taxcuts passed in 2001, perhaps I would have more respect for those who are currently having second thoughts. But IMO Democrats everywhere should have made the repeal of those taxcuts a condition..before even considering a vote for the war resolution!
