Lamont to meet with Hillary Clinton in NY tomorrow!
:toast:

New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will meet Friday with Democratic Senate candidate Ned Lamont to discuss how she can help his campaign in a three-way race against Sen. Joe Lieberman, now an independent candidate.

"Sen. Clinton looks forward to meeting with Ned Lamont and discussing how she can be helpful to his campaign," Howard Wolfson, Clinton's campaign strategist, said Wednesday.

...

"We look forward to hearing how she's going to be helpful," he said, after hearing Wolfson's comment. "There are a number of people that can be very helpful within this campaign in a variety of ways."

...

Clinton and Lamont will meet at the senator's home in Chappaqua, N.Y.

6. I can't help snickering either!
I don't think Lieberman has ever been invited to the Clinton home.

Glad to see Hillary repositioning herself.

9. What reposition...?
She has been a loyal Democrat and has been consistent in her intention to support the nominee. There was never a question about it.

12. The reposition deals with the war in Iraq, not with supporting the nominee
Hillary said she would support the nominee prior to the primary, and if my memory serves me, I believe Big Dog did say that he expected Lieberman to support the nominee when he when campaigning with Judas Joe.

13. Not sure what the wording was...
Big Dog did say publically he was urging Lieberman to support the nominee...

In any case I think Lamont is playing things pretty smart now, lining up support from Democratic Party leaders (The Clinton's, Edwards etc), will be visiting others in Massachusetts and New Jersey, meeting with Peres can't hurt with Jewish voters, and I see today he is securing union support, which will aid him among Reagan Democrats...

All this should help him with Independents....

Hope he keeps it up

3. There may be a few factors... one may be pretty basic. If she extended the
invitation she would of course invite him to her space and visa versa. :)

7. I am sure Lamont will support the nominee
which is what he said he would have done had Judas Lieberman won the primary.

8. Why the hell is he going to NY they should let Hillary come to Conn.
Going to NY is a PR move by Clinton Thats why i don't care for her she's an opportunist. Lamont should be campaigning in Conn.

10. Read the article...
"Lamont plans to meet or talk with most Democrats in the Senate, especially nearby senators in Massachusetts and New Jersey, Swan said."

I don't think New York is his only stop...

And I know for a fact bothe Clintons have agreed to go to Connecticut to campaign for him...
