Does anyone else do stuff like this?
Yesterday I was shopping. I'm a pretty happy go lucky kind of gal, and usually make small chit chat at the checkout with the store employees. We chat about how hot it is, then I say who doesn't believe in global warming now? When I get an agreeable response, then I say well, except for Bush and the republicans. I take any chance that I can to make a dig at Bush and the republicans that I can get in.

2. Every time I'm at the pharmacy, I chat with the pharmacist about
how the insurance companies are ripping us off and how much better we'd be with single payer universal health care. Another topic is the medicare mess including the donut hole. It's an honest to goodness old fashioned neighborhood pharmacy, so usually there is someone else standing around.

3. Me too. All the time.
And i am finding more affirmation nowadays than i did 4 years ago. I used to live in SoCal and would see uniformed military all the time out in public (not so much at all here in SW Fla) and would often say something like "I am really sorry and feel bad for you that your Commander in Chief is such an asshole". I got about 60% positive responses and some very tightlipped, steely eyed ones.

These days when i say anything from a liberal perspective to a stranger it is running around 80% positive response or agreement.

Nice change.

4. Great!
I hope that we are all diligent about sticking it to them in public. Things are slowly changing here in Texas, althought it will be red for a long time to come. The wingnuts that I know aren't as loud. I want them to be ashamed that the voted for monkey boy.

6. Absolutely! That is how we do it, one person at a time!
We interface person to person, I believe the majority of Democrats actually like their fellow humans & appreciate interacting with them. Most people will respond positively given the chance, many are simply too shy to initiate the communication.

You guys are great! Just keep doing what you are doing and in 75 short days we will take back the Congress!

Never pass up a chance to sound off. It's the least I can do. And thanks to DU, I have solid information to work with.

8. All the time
and get snickers when I throw a Bronx cheer at any pubbie who sticks his ugly face onto a TV set at the bank or other place of business.

Plus I'm a shameless eavesdropper. Dunno what it's like where you are, but here in central NM, people are ANGRY.
