As usual for Bush, when it concerns the English language, he's utterly clueless. Case in point, the "period." AFAIK, no one, not one democrat, says the best course of action is to leave Iraq, PERIOD. That implies "end of discussion." No other point to make -- we must leave, period. But I don't think even Chimpy meant to say that. What he meant to say was "That is wrong, period." The clear implication being that Bush thinks those who would leave Iraq before the job is done are wrong, and he feels there is nothing left to discuss. The PERIOD is in the wrong place. It is minor, to be sure, but it does underscore the constant stupidity of this president which we are bombarded with every day. He can't even punctuate, a sentence. Properly period.
