White House Dismisses Third-Term Talk

WASHINGTON — A third term for President Bush? No thanks, his staff says. "Believe me, I think staff thinks that two are plenty,"White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said Wednesday, suggesting people are being worn out by the demands of the job.

Even Bush seemed taken aback when a supporter, Rockey Vaccarella, said he wished the president could have another term. "Wait a minute,"the president interrupted.

Even if he wanted another term, Bush would be barred by the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution which says no person can be elected president more than twice.

Vaccarella lost his home in New Orleans in Hurricane Katrina a year ago. He drove to Washington hoping to meet with Bush and managed to get an invitation to the Oval Office."I don't think it was a secret that Rockey Vaccarella had been supportive of the federal effort and he had said supportive things about the President, as well,"Perino said.

7. Why is Rockey thanking the bush for the FEMA trailers?

Shouldn't he be thanking us, the taxpayers, for the trailers? Did Rockey bother to ask the "great one" about all the FEMA trailers that are rotting away in ARkansas and were never delivered to the ones who really need them in the Gulf States?

Just to be clear, Mr. Vaccarella isn't living in a FEMA trailer. No, he towed his "honorary" FEMA trailer, along with a convenient documentary film crew up to Washington to meet with President Simpleton. And George had all kinds of time to meet with Mr. Vaccarella (an Italian name derived from the word for "tool" -- at least, that's what "some people" say), though he still hasn't quite found a few minutes to explain to Cindy Sheehan just what the "noble cause" is that her son died for in Iraq.

It's a strange world inhabited by President Simpleton, but one that I'm sick and tired of.
