Has anybody else noticed how the polls seem a little off?
there seems to be a disconnect between what is happening on the ground and the"supposed" new numbers?

2. good catch!
one of the best strategies you can use to head off a disaster is to buy some data to show it isn't happening ... there has been an undercurrent of out-of-synch polls the last couple of weeks ... i would read them very cautiously ...

3. That is the Rove factor - Making the polls close enough to enable a steal
If the polls are close enough going in, most people will not question the election when the put the Diebold touch on the numbers.

4. Hardball just showed
a 2% difference between people who would vote democratic and people who would vote republican. This compared to a double digit gap in march. Something is definately fishy about this.

7. The MSM is in on the game, they get the revenue for campaign
ads. I am completely sure of this, the NJ midterms 2002 and Presidential 2004 where 10 + percentage points and then narrowed close to the elections and after the elections reflected the lead up polls of a large spread.

I tape and watch C-Span, and they do not show the closing gaps to the extent of the MSM, it is just another ruse to funnel money to the corporate whores running this country.

Where have all the DECENT AMERICANS GONE? We have become too complacent on our paychecks to actually give a crap about how we earn them!

I invite you to research these election numbers, because I know what I've lived.

17. What time of day did they call?
I bet for Democrats it was when they were either at work or sleeping.

8. Gallup is showing a 2% difference in the congressional generic...
ballot. Also, Bush's approval number is 42% according to Gallup. Something is wrong here.

12. What do we do about this? If another poll comes out and shows..
a similar result, we must be greatly concerned.

14. I agree. This big drop scared me, and I'm waiting for another poll...

to see if it's confirmed.

What's curious to me is Dems seem to be climbing in Senate races. (I don't know how things are going in House races.)

15. the polls are missing the big picture ...
don't waste too much time on them ...

check this out:

source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brent-budowsky/lets-landslide-memo-to-d_b_27891.html

On the Sunday before the 1994 Republican landslide the Hotline and Sunday Washington Post polled 21 alleged experts. 17 of them, many of the same people in the punditry class today, said the Democrats would retain control of the House. 48 hours before a Republican landslide they had it totally backwards. When you see them on television today, ignore them.

11. I signed up with Zogby...
and they used to contact me every couple weeks. This went on for almost two years.
I haven't heard from them for several months now.
I miss telling them that I was a wealthy Repub, who thought Bush was doing a lousy job.

13. And listen to C-Span, the Freeps are like one out of 10, however,
C-Span is not spinning like these polls. It's like Washington is living in LALA land, the disconnect on both sides is amazing.

16. What I have seen is that there hasn't been many polls in the news
for several weeks, maybe months.

Now, all of a sudden, we're getting polls that show that opinions have shifted back towards the Repugs in significant ways.

Yeah, I smell a rat.
