Lieberman Really A GOP Candidate
The writer of the letter titled “Democrats and GOP all about party loyalty,” published on Aug. 17, thinks that Democratic leaders have no right to ask Sen. Joseph Lieberman to withdraw from the general election after losing the Democratic Primary.
I wouldn't have a problem with Joe Lieberman running as a petitioning candidate in the general election if he had first decided to withdraw from the Democratic primary, but Joe Lieberman, like a spoiled brat, doesn't want to take “No” from the Democratic voters, who turned out in record numbers to reject him. Instead, he demands a “mulligan.” By running as the head of the Connecticut Narcissist Party, alias Connecticut for Lieberman Party, Joe Lieberman, who prides himself on his morality, is proving that he's only interested in himself, not the welfare of this nation.
Here's what the 2006 general election is about: If you want to support the disastrous policies of the Bush-Cheney administration, then vote for GOP-backed Joe Lieberman and the Republican incumbents on Nov. 7, but if you want to restore this nation's moral reputation and promote sensible domestic and foreign policies, vote for Ned Lamont and his fellow Democrats.
I may also be getting one published in The Norwich Bulletin soon too.
