Is this going on all over? I figure Big Oil is trying to protect their investments in the GOP by placating the voters who would normally vote GOP but are enraged by gas prices.

1. Know it.
Look for more gas price drops in the run-up to November. They have to defang this issue.

They are all sitting on a nice cash pad that will allow this.

2. Yeah - down about 30 cents in GA
but still ridiculously expensive. We're supposed to be thrilled to pay "only" $2.70 a gallon??

11. My gas here is $2.92 a gallon, down from $3.09 a month ago.
One would think logically that the price of gas should go up with Labor Day coming and having to gear up for the winter home heating. I suspect that whatever can be done will be done to keep the prices down until after the November elections.

15. Hasn't changed at all here
$3-ish in Las Vegas. Some stations slightly higher or lower than that. Same for the last month. None of the nearby stations have moved a penny in weeks.
