2. I like Jim Webb

I can relate to him on many levels. First of all, I share his Scots-Irish ancestry, and have read and enjoyed his book "Born Fighting." Secondly, I was for a time a Republican, and had to leave them behind when the nutjob neocons took over.

3. Good message ruined by the voice-over guy

You don't get a guy with a voice like that to do your commercials narrations. That's the kind of voice that would be at home saying, "Webb fer Senate... cuz lawdy, lawdy, we're havin' biscuits fer dinner tonight, buckeroos!!!"

4. I disagree...

...for one reason. The voice I usually hear on political commercials seems to issue forth from a clone kept in some PR firms basement. I can tell a political ad before I ever see it by the voice. Doesn't matter whether it's a Democrat or Republican. This voice is different, and thus, there will be a good 5-10 seconds before people's brains catches up to their ears and switches channels or hit mute.
