Rumour - new Rasmussen poll showing Lieberman at 45 and Lamont at 43
I just read a diary at KOS. Seems like the diarist has Rasmussen premium membership and the latest Rasmussen poll shows the CT race as:
Lieberman - 45%
Lamont - 43%
Republican - 6%

There is no link included as the poll is membership only but if true, it will be posted on the internets really soon...

4. Lamont is leading by 37%
I do not recognize Lieberman as a legitimate candidate. This is a traditional race: One Democrat, one Republican.

5. That's a happy thought but don't get complacent. Lamont is still moving
in the right direction, but he's going to need *our* help.

6. I believe that the republican backing of Lieberman will sink him
Having said that I also note that Joe has stated again that he will vote with the dems if he wins so either way its a dem seat, agree with him on the war or not.

7. Joe is going to get his ass kicked
http://www.surveyusa.com/50State2006/50StateBushApproval060815Approval.htm

not the best poll but bush is 32% approval in CT
and 66% disapproval

Expect the whores in the media to continue to pimp Joe as the strongest candidate until
mid October or so and then he will not even be mentioned.

Bottom Line people are sick of this war and sick of bush and Joe = both.

13. Will Lieberman's ego be able to stand another loss?
I wrote and asked him to step aside from this campaign, and try to get the Sec. of Defense job instead. Anybody is better than Rumsfeld.

23. I hope we don't have a repeat of Pennsylvania
where an obscure and inconsequential Green Party candidate for US Senate suddenly got on the ballot and got an influx of campaign cash courtesy of Rick Santorum. Whoring for the GOP is not what a truly progressive third party should be doing.

16. When was the last Rasmussen poll taken, and what did it show?
It think it would be more informative to compare this poll to the last Rasmussen poll, rather than to the Quinnipac poll because of differences in sample selection and methodology.

Does anyone know whether Rassmussen has previously polled for a three-way general election race (earlier polls may have sampled only likely primary voters), and if so, what that polled showed? Just as important, when was the earlier poll taken?

Lieberman leading, a few days after the primary. It was the first poll that came out after Lamont won the primary.

with the ARG believing it may have been an outlier.

This race is indeed still very close. Let's have Joe packin'!

Poll: Lieberman, Lamont running neck-and-neck

Ned Lamont, left, defeated incumbent Sen. Joe Lieberman in the Democratic primary.
(CNN) -- A new poll by the American Research Group indicated a statistical dead heat in the U.S. Senate race in Connecticut between upstart Democratic nominee Ned Lamont and incumbent Sen. Joseph Lieberman.

Some 44 percent of respondents deemed "likely voters" supported Lieberman, while 42 percent said they would vote for Lamont in the November election. This gap was well within the margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.5 percentage points. Republican nominee Alan Schlesinger got backing from 3 percent of likely voters. (Full results)

Late last week, Quinnipiac University released its own poll showing Lieberman with a healthy, double-digit lead over Lamont -- 53 percent of likely voters to 41 percent. (Full story)

The main difference between the two polls lay in the percentage of respondents who said that they were undecided: 2 percent in the Quinnipiac survey compared to 11 percent in the ARG poll, more than 5 times larger.
