Brazile is in the Anti-Lieberman Camp
No huge surprise, since she works for the DNC, but credit where credit is due. Actually Donna Brazile was on public record advising Lieberman not to file to run as an Independent if he lost the primary before the Primary also. This MSNBC story mostly focuses on how Republicans are trying to use Lieberman to hurt the Democrats, since they already know that their own Republican candidate is a sure loser anyway.

Republicans for Lieberman?
Democrats face a Ned Lamont world
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14450004/

It closes with this comment from Brazile:

"Brazile said that Lieberman's decision to run as an independent when Democratic voters had chosen Lamont put the party in a predicament. She adds that many candidates could choose to run as independents if they lose the Democratic nomination, but it doesn't mean they should. "If you lose, you lose," she said."

She also said this:

"Donna Brazile, Al Gore's campaign manager in 2000 when Lieberman was the vice-presidential nominee, says voters want someone to fight for their values in Washington and "stand up" to the GOP. "I still believe this election in Connecticut comes down to a choice between an incumbent senator who many believe no longer represents their views on certain issues and a newcomer who promises to steer, not just the party, but the country in a different direction," Brazile said."

I have no doubt that Donna Brazile likes Joe Lieberman personally, as I am sure some other National Democrats do also, but this is how all of our Party leaders need to react. Democratic voters chose Lamont because Lieberman no longer represents their views. Yes we want a new direction not just for our Party, but for America.

4. It's fascinating actually...
This is a true test of whether the establishmentarian stank can ever be washed off once you've gone and got yourself stunk. Normally it can't, but her latest statements have been quite radical. But she's got a lot of `splainin to do about just how she got that stank on her to begin with.

Those who have been veering right have noticed how off track they were and are trying to mend their rotten ways. They need to be watched.

9. You never bothered to read any of those links, did you?
If you had you would see, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that St. Donna is not to be trusted. The information was ALL there. What a shame.

13. Start what? Sorry you feel this way...
Like I said in the other thread and I'll gladly say it again...THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU!

As far as personal attacks go...my PM to you was FAR from a personal attack. Just wanted that put on the record.

If you want to support Donna Brazile, that's YOUR right. You'll get no more interference from me. Believe what you wish. It's your decision and I respect that. End of story.

14. I am going to tell you something.
This is not about the PM. I referred to statements made to me about my being critical in threads, causing problems

Gee,I was so damn glad to find out that I was the only one who differs here at DU...I thought everybody did.

I thought Donna was personally attacked so viciously, that I was embarrassed for this forum. Then I stepped in to have a say I was accused of having health and mental problems...a throwback to the primary days when that was a common theme.

I will bet Tom, who is one of the nicest people at DU, is very sorry he started this thread. He knows I have a lot of stuff on Clark I don't post because I respect him and a few others so very much. He is a genuinely nice person.

It is out of line to go after Donna Brazile like this...and I don't even like her especially.
