Freepers don't know Bush signed Texas's futile care statute
While Bush was governor, he signed a futile care statute that allows hospitals to terminate what they consider futile care, with ten days notice to the patient or family to find other facilities. This has been applied even to patients that are still conscious. In this thread, the freepers are going into paroxysm because a family has been so notified:

Do you think anyone in that thread will notice that this is a George Bush law? If I had an account on Free Republic, I would point that out. I don't have an account there, because the surest way to get your account yanked is to point out the relevant facts in such discussions. But if anyone else here has an account there...

7. All it takes is posting an inconvenient fact. So, yes.
One account. I posted an inconvenient fact in a relevant thread, even giving a reference for it, and without commenting on the fact. Wham! No more account.

2. That post would get deleted in a second. They don't allow
negative comments about Bush, even if true.

They have their heads up their ass.

5. I once signed to a site
like that before and for two weeks I kept receiving calls from a fax machine (I have no fax) in the middle of the night. It was from a known GOP spammer. I googled the phone number on the caller id and found out about him. My hubby was very pissed at me. We almost called the FCC but we sent a fax back at him threatening to call the local police.
