3. Gore - I think the debates would prove that. I would welcome anyone

to that table, though, the stronger the better.

4. Debates are useless in the age of the Corporate Whore Media

Both Gore and Kerry destroyed the Chimp when they debated him, but you would never know it, listening to the media.

6. In the Dem primaries the debates DO matter to Dem voters and they are

not as susceptible to media spin the way overall voters are. I think that's why the corpmedia actually pays little attention to the Dem debates and never gives them the focus they should.

The right wing wants Hillary. They have made that more than obvious. So they would do their revisionism job on those debates just like they did on the general election debates the last two election years.

Obviously one thing that needs to happen is a return to a good old fashioned real debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters, rather than a series of scripted debates airing on FAUX News and controlled by their shills, which is what we had in 2003-2004

What the mediawhores DID do was downplay the importance of the debates and the specific failures of BushInc on various issues Kerry attacked him on. Imagine if they had followed up on Kerry's points about Tora Bora, port security and how best to stabilize Iraq and withdraw in a timely way and counter terrorism for REAL?

5. Absolutely Gore. Hillary Clinton is a weak candidate, imho.

But I don't know if Gore will run, so this discussion is academic. I really want Clark to run, but again, that's an unknown. After Clark and Gore, I'm with Feingold.

If we pay attention to other races taking place in 2006, Democrats may actually prevent Freepers and Trolls and Media Whores from making sure the Republicants steal another election.
