Tom Reynolds (R-NY) on Hardball. What an effing tool.

Tweety: Do you think it's FAIR for some NOBODY to get elected just because he OPPOSES THE WAR IN IRAQ?

Reynolds: Not gonna happen, Chris.

That's just one example. He also talked about how the Bush tax cuts "have worked" (after Tweety asked him if the only guarantee voters would have against raised taxes would be to vote Republican), how the Republicans are not the "cut and run" party, ALL of the Karl Rove Talking Points. He hit 'em all.

Tweety mentioned earlier that he likes Santorum "a lot," and that even though he has a "Democratic background," he considers himself "a strong Independent these days."

Note to Tweety: Fellating Republicans does not make you a strong Independent.

1. What if any host was even half that solicitous towards democrats?
Can you imagine the shouts and cries about bias? It's sick that the republicans can expect and receive that kind of hand-job every time they go on the air.

2. I can't believe people actually vote for that SLUG!!!
Harold Ford, Jr. is on now and is doing an awesome job.

I can see why he's doing such a good job against Mr. Corker with voters in Tennessee.

Rahm Emanual was also great today!

3. Every time I think that Tweety
has grown "half" his brain back, he blows it with crap like this today. Proving again that "Once a tool for B*shco, Always a tool for B*shco".

9. But Tweety says he was against the Iraq invasion
Lame talking point brought up by some members of the group whenever Tweety starts getting the daily pranging he deserves.

Tweety may be or may have been or may have said on one or two occasions how "against" the war in Iraq he is or was or would have been or whatever, but he can't seem to find any fault with any GOP politician for supporting the invasion of Iraq. It's an odd disconnect, innit?

4. Unfortunately, Reynolds is a representative in my area....
he is the representative in the area where my office is located, he's a real sleaze. He will have a tough fight from his challenger who is a successful businessman. I sure hope he gets ousted but his district is almost all Republican. I'm glad I only work in his district and live in a district that has Louise Slaughter. Tweety has no class calling Lamont a nobody.

5. Tweety likes Allen too.
Why would anyone who has the kind of Democratic background that Tweety has like Santorum and Allen - two of the most reactionary twits in the Senate? How much are the Repugs paying him to shill for these guys.

I read his book, "Now I'll Tell You What I Really Think." Lot's of pretty liberal positions in that book. If that is what he really thinks then he is at total odds with the likes of Allen and Santorum. :puke:

7. Santorum did a crappy job on Tweety, but Tweety let him off EASY...
Edited on Mon Aug-21-06 05:50 PM by larissa
He couldn't or wouldn't answer any of the softball questions Tweety asked him and he sounded like a whiney little wimp when trying to talk about Iraq.

Still. Tweety ended the softball interview by saying that INSANE-itorum had him (Tweety) "flustered"

FLUSTERED?!?!?

6. It's not that Tweety likes Santorum as much as it is that Tweety wants...
to keep the GOP in power.

8. Well.... when it comes to PENNSYLVANIA (since his bro is running)
...I'll bet he'd definitely like to see all ReTHUGS win. Especially his brother.

He sure made it a point on today's Hardball to stress how he's not a Republican or a Democrat, that he's an INDEPENDENT.

He said he was raised a Democrat, but for the past twenty years has been an Independent.

He made some lame comment about ..."if you don't believe me, ask President Clinton how much of an Independent I am, he'll tell you"

I was thinking after he said that .. maybe that's why he didn't get the job in the Clinton Administration that he applied for? That he wasn't "Democratic" enough?

Hmm..

10. Tweets loves his tax cuts and would hate to lose them.
God forbid Tweety had to pay a few extra bucks to buy our soldiers the proper protection and healthcare.
