Man, Everybody was Dissing Bush's Middle East Policy
this morning. Even Geo. Will was being really sarcastic.

I'm not sure anyone is pro Bush anymore. His history in office has been such a "cock-up" that no one is standing by him anymore.

This deal with Hezbollah has kind of been the last straw - now Hezbollah has greatly increased political capital all over the Mid East.

This adm. completely dropped the ball on that one - came in way too late. The old peace initiatives in the region are all dead.

What a total mess.

1. They just realize that if they keep lying for the bush** administration
they look like they're loony toons as well.

Will fancies himself as the poor man's Gore Vidal, delusional twit that he is.

2. And let me guess . . .
All of the folks who just put their pleated cheerleader skirts in mothballs are saying "Of course this is all a foreign policy disaster; nobody expected anything different, really. After all, nobody really expected President Gentleman's C to successfully prosecute one war, let alone two wars of choice, so there was really no other outcome."

I see on Atrios that Sen. Straight Talk thinks that the only reasonable path to follow after more than three years of fucking up is to stay the course.

3. even the neo-cons don't have much they can say.
I saw Kristol on Charlie Rose with Holbrooke, and he got his clocks royally cleaned. It wasn't even close.

4. I never really expected for Bush to end this badly.
But can't say that I'm sorry. He and his whole adm. are sinking like a rock - and they diserve it.

5. Bush doesn't matter anymore. . Repug control of Congress
is the maguffin now. He was always just a puppet.

Not as much cause for glee as if they had jumped ship in early '04.
