Judge Anna Diggs Taylor = Rosa Parks ?
Rosa said, "Hell no, I won't give up my seat" in no uncertain terms. At that time, no one was challenging the status quo, even though many knew it was wrong. But one courageous and beautiful black woman stood up to the powerful. Rosa made her stand and a movement was born.

And now, we have another black woman in Detroit that has made a similar stand, albeit with different circumstances. Judge Anna Diggs Taylor stood up to the the strongest forces of this government when no one else would, although many knew the same as her. She said in no uncertain terms, "No one is above the law and especially not the President of the United States. The only "inherent" power is that which is in the Constitution."

And now, there are those that attack her just as they attacked Rosa Parks. But she is not speaking just for herself - she is speaking for all of us. Judge Anna Diggs Taylor is a very courageous woman.

2. Big difference - Rosa Parks was defending individual rights
Judge Taylor is standing up for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Rosa Parks was a symbol (remember, she was selected for that action) that opened doors.

Judge Taylor kept doors from slamming on our collective rights.

Big difference.

6. If I were a praying man,
I would pray for a happy ending. That happy ending would involve this wonderful woman going down in history as a brave hero of the United States of America. It would also include the entire b*sh crime family ending up in prison.

7. support Judge Taylor by joining the ACLU today
The ACLU is the plaintiff in this case, standing against the imposition of tyranny on us all.

You can join this fight and make a direct difference by becoming a member of the ACLU today.

Go to http://www.aclu.org. Membership starts at just twenty bucks. Donations of as little as five bucks are possible.

Now is the time for each of us to stand with the ACLU. In numbers, there is safety. Solidarity. It's our time, and our turn.

I urge every DU-er to make that choice today.
