CNN’s Blunder: White House, Press Secretary Tony Fox
CNN’s Blunder: White House, Press Secretary Tony Fox
August 17th, 2006 @ 3:09 pm

In a report on the NSA wiretapping ruling today, CNN blundered and called White House Press Secretary Tony Snow: Tony Fox.

In a statement from the White House, Press Secretary Tony Fox said, “The program is carefully administered and targets only international phone calls coming into or out of the United States where one of the parties on the call is a suspected al Qaeda or affiliated terrorist.

See the screenshot below:

Was it a blunder or a Freudian slip? I guess you can take Tony Snow out of Fox News, but you just can’t take the Fox out of Tony.

5. It STILL doesn't matter...
If they already know that one or more of the parties involved in the call is an Al Q suspect, then why do they have to listen to everyone's phone calls, instead of just the ones from those they already know to be Al Q suspects, as Tony suggests?

Do the math, people. It doesn't add up.
