1. Like it or not, MSNBC is the lowest rated...
besides CNBC, and I imagine they want to keep a financial-news station on the air

2. Shit, I Always Listen To COUNTDOWN In The Car
I heard that announcement and I didn't know what to make of it....at first I thought they were just changing the number of it or something. Very bummed and may lose XM. That was the only thing I used it for on a daily basis as I am usually in the car during that time.

5. Me, too -
I also like having an alternative to the blather on CNN when looking for live news (I don't listen to Fox at all).

10. I Have Air America On A.M. Radio...
So I don't need XM for it. I like a couple of the music stations but I can live without them.

3. Are they replacing the station with anything? If not, they could cut
me a little slack on my XM bill!

6. That's interesting. I cancelled Sirius for the same reason
and next to AAR, I listen to MSNBC more than anything else on satellite.

7. I wonder if it would be possible to sell MS NBC separate from the other NB
NBC stations. The Democratic Party MUST get into the media business (the same way the Republicans do with FOX) if they want to continue to be viable. MS NBC would be a good place to start. George Soros where are you?

12. I already called to complain. But all I listen to MSNBC for is Olbermann
I asked if there is any way they can just carry Countdown every night at 8pm?

14. And they need to drop those as well

I'm tired of the horrid sound quality. Music channels at a measly 32kbps are so annoying to listen to, though still just a bit less annoying than trying to find decent music on the FM band. Unfortunately the marketing department seems to be running everything XM, so "more channels" it is (Oprah...)

15. The drop from MSNBC definitely sucks
since I used to listen to Countdown when I got out of the gym. But I still got AAR and I still got my hockey to keep me groovy. There is an AAR station on the A.M. dial here, but it absolutely sucks! We get Randi Rhodes and Franken, but we don't get Mike Malloy or the Majority Report out here. AAR on XM beats 1230 KJFK everytime. All this means is I listen to the network feeds less often, not really a big loss for me.

17. Dammit
I tune in to countdown on the way home from work every day.

Here a link to the announcement.
It's not much of a announcement

18. The future of MSNBC is in doubt and XM isn't betting on a good outcome
In early 2005 Microsoft and NBC announced their intentions to part ways. The plans became clearer earlier this year:

It's clear the MSNBC is about to undergo a big change. As XM makes its plans for the next year or so, it's apparent they're not willing to bet that the reinvented MSNBC will be better than the current one.

20. It has to do with all the changes coming at MSNBC..
with the 'primetime' programming becoming a lot of repeats of 'investigative' reports.

Stand By, I may have some information shortly on how we can get K.O. back on XM.
