They're a great team.
"Although Sherrod has a great progressive voting record, it is his leadership record that makes him such a natural for the Ohio U.S. Senate seat.
Sherrod is a tower of strength when it comes to all the issues that matter to grassroots progressives outside the Beltway. Having a person like Sherrod Brown in the Senate mean far more than just another good vote. He spits in the eye of the lobbyists and corporate criminals who corrupt our entire political system. He has been one of a handful of congressmen who has consistently fought back the encroachments of Big Pharma as they’re unquenchable greed and penchant for corruption have all but wrecked the American health care system.
...
Like many grassroots Democrats, Sherrod doesn’t get the feeling that the folks inside the Bush Regime are well-intentioned. Although he agreed with them when it came to go after Al Qaeda forcefully in Afghanistan, he was dismayed when they abandoned the fight there and attacked Iraq. He was one of the earliest, most outspoken and most consistent opponents of the Bush Regime policy in Iraq — which brings us right to Mike DeWine, the rubber stamp incumbent who has been a consistent supporter of Bush’s policies and agenda — at home and abroad."
Sherrod is now up on the ActBlue Page - Send him a contribution, please!

"Many of you have asked about how we can have a fair election.
When I was Secretary of State of Ohio from 1982 to 1990, we focused on getting more people to the polls. Not less.
At one point, my office printed voter registration forms on McDonald’s tray liners. We accepted even if they were covered in ketchup stains.
The current secretary of state, Ken Blackwell, has done all that he can to make voting in this state more difficult.
We need to change leadership at the state and federal level to fully address your concerns.
I believe if the Democratic candidate Jennifer Brunner wins her election, she can reform our voting process and restore confidence in the system."
...
"I won’t hesitate in the Senate to hold a president from either party accountable.
As you may know, I stood up to a president of my party, Bill Clinton on NAFTA.
This is a president who has overreached on everything from the Iraq War to wiretapes to his signing statements to the FDA.
I will fight to maintain the separation of powers that has guided our country for over 200 years."
