Nancy is a former Air America radio host, and a true progressive. Nancy even came to our Michigan DU meetup! (Pictures at: http://nskinnerforcongress.blogspot.com/2006/08/daily-recap.html ) Shes fired up about the netroots, especially since attending Yearly Kos in Vegas.

Nancy won two of these contests earlier this year for $7,000 and another $5,000 will help her match Joe Knollenberg's million dollar warchest!

Let's send Nancy Skinner to congress so she can focus on New Energy and green up the auto industry!

But I would correct one item. Nanacy was never on Air America radio. She was on IE America with Doug Stephan and did a morning show on WDTW after a failed run for a senate seat in Michigan. I doubt there is anyone I'd rather have as a Represntative than this beautiful wonk.

Sorry bout the confusion. WDTW is the Air America affiliate here, I get them mixed up. But it was two of Nancy's listeners from the Chicago show who went on to co-found Air America.

The failed Senate run was in Illinois, where she lost to Barack Obama...not too bad!
