Blast from the past: DUers on Ned Lamont (earlier this year)
April 26, 2006
It will be interesting to see how many of the papers that might ordinarily endorse Lieberman play to the challenger, Lamont.

And if it matters.

If Lamont's support becomes widespread enough, it may not matter. A strong grassroots push against Lieberman might do the trick.

:toast:

Just goes to show that this government is ours, but only if we have the strength and the will to claim it for ourselves.

2. Here's another one from April 26
Just a gut call here, but I think Ned Lamont is being underestimated by the Lieberman camp.

And again -- just a hunch -- I think Lamont wins that primary.

Yes!!

3. And here's one on Joe Lieberman from April 24
I think the defense of him is more complex than simply a (D) by his name. On all other issues Lieberman has an extensive liberal voting record. Unfortunately and sadly he got a hard-on for Bush's war.

There is also an element of sentimentality involved because he was Gore's VP candidate.

I'm just tired of seeing his face behind Bush when Bush is signing horrible legislation. Joementum backed the wrong horse and he's going to pay for that poor judgment in that regard.

Now that's what I'm talking about! DUers are way ahead of the curve!

5. It Is Boring Enough Now
So who really needs to see a year ago.

In other words. One year later. And DU is still boring.

8. One more from April 25
Dumping Lieberman in the primary would be a HUGE boost for the Dems going into the Novermber elections.

It would be symbolic for no more business as usual.

And after the party's pathetic performance during the first 10 weeks of this year- they could sorely use that.
