Careful ... I don't wanna read about you in the news .... be VERY careful
about what you buy.

How many cell phones are too many? Can we be busted for setting up a "Friends and Family Plan" with a clan of 11 people?

What happens if we buy razor blades by the gross? Some of us shave our heads *and* face and keep a house where legs and others parts are shaved too.

Will Home Depot report the sale of those econo-paks of utility knife ('box cutter') refills?

What happens if you own a chain saw *and* a hand powered pruning saw?

Should we stick to feeding the lawn that 15-15-15 stuff, even in early Spring when a 25-0-0 might be a better choice? And gawd help you if the lawn tractor runs on diesel.

And bottled water. Dangerous stuff, that. Is is okay to buy it by the case? What happens if it also has (gasp) gas in it to make those nose-tickling bubbles?

Red sport beverages. Don't even ask. That stuff's damned scary.

What the HELL has become of our sanity?

Oh yeah ...... 'boo' ..........

If you don't post a link referencing the story, people may not know what you're talking about....

I'm just sayin'.

5. Link to the story about the cellphones...
It was news to me! (Perhaps I 'misunderestimate' DUers...)

3. Don't you think 100s of cell phone might be too many?
Maybe these guys were doing the American thing. Buy low, sell high, make a little change.

But walking into a WalMart and buying cases of cellphones tends to attract attention.

Don't ya think?

They'll be free anyway. Move along. Nothing happening here....

6. Might attract attention but I don't understand how they can
charge these people with any form of terrorism. The Fed's are backing away from the supposed associated threat to blow the Mackinac brdige.

7. "buying cases of cellphones tends to attract attention"
...Which is one reason it's unlikely terrorists would do that.

(Besides, how many cellphones do they need to detonate bombs?)

12. One of them was named Osama..
I'm sure that was enough. The clerk probably had heart palpitations dialing the phone to police afterwords.

8. Look .... let's be reasonable and rational here .....
..... if the cells phones were intended as part of some plot to do harm to flying objects, hhow many would the team need? Let's say they had this HUGELY inflated view of their ability carry it out and planned to hit ... how many? .... let's say 20 flying objects.

Let's say these cell phones were going to be use for the bad guys to talk to each other ... and some were gunna make something else go 'boom'.

Lots need for cell phones so far. How many is that? 50? Whatever. Now let's double it, just for back-up and redundency purposes. A hundred. Now overlay that with a second back up. A hundred and fifty.

No way having thousands of cell phones is anything but some guys getting stock to sell for twice the price under a beach umbrella on a street corner.

A little critical thinking .... k?

11. The batteries probably resell for more than the phones
Y'ever replace a digicam or cell phone battery?

20. Yeah. Sounds like either terrorists or drug dealers to me.
Or some group of stupid guys who think they are going to turn a profit on this absurd plan, when in actuality the wholesalers they plan to sell these phones to can already buy them way less than these guys did at Wal-Mart.

Luckily, it sounds like this particular case is the third possibility.
