Recall that Tom collected mucho bucks prior to the primary, which he can now direct towards his legal defense fund. If I were a Repub donor in his district, I would be royally pissed.
Now, think back to when the first ruling was handed down that the Repubs could not replace DeLay on the ballot by fiat, and it would either be Tom or nobody. Tom had some kind of press conference or interview, and said something to the effect of, "well, if I have to be on the ballot, maybe I'll run after all." There were cheers from the audience.
So here's my question -- anybody know if there was any additional fundraising done after that announcement, and if so, just how stupid do you think those latest donors feel now that they have thrown good money after bad?
